➡️ Pls read if you are interested in visiting Japan. ⛩️Hakone is a great day trip from Tokyo (about 90 minutes) but we decided to stay two full days to explore the area a little more. Hakone is known for its natural hot springs (onsens) and iconic views of Mount Fuji. We splurged and stayed at a traditional Japanese ryokan (a traditional inn), which includes a private onsen and a multi-course kaiseki dinner. OMG, the food was so good-Michelin-star level! In today's vlog, I take you on some of the must-do things to see and eat in Hakone. Get the Hakone free pass as it gives you unlimited access to a few different modes of transport and some discounts on attractions. I highly recommend checking out this picturesque town! I hope you enjoy the vlog xx Mel
One of the best trips in your vlog! Super love it! Thanks for bringing us with u in your trip.. it inspires me so much to want to travel there one day. 💚💚💚
Hi Mel, your travel vlogs are always very interesting because you manage to show us all the characteristic aspects of a place! And what memories you brought back to me with that little game where you had to catch fish! I owned it when I was a little child!! 😘
I think this video is amazing. Great mix of Japan scenic, food, fashion & tips! The chemistry between you & your hub is so unbelievable! Btw he is good! 😅
I love that hubby is involved more in your vlogs. I'm planning to go to japan next year, this looks so good! That open air museum looks beautiful. I love hot springs so taking notes. TFS!
Just got back from Japan too with my hubby. Went to Mt Fuji and it is raining but nevertheless Japan is my favorite destination to visit again. Yeah, did my hot springs Osen too and love it. Next stop will be to Hokkaido, Nagoya and perhaps more places. Nice vlog.
Gonna have to add this to my travel list next time I visit Japan! I always visit the big cities like Tokyo and Osaka. Time for a change of scenery and explore the nature side of Japan.
Yes you must go Valencia :) it’s definitely a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of bigger cities. As much as I love Tokyo, it was such an amazing experience staying at a traditional Ryokan and the food was soooo good! Xx
This was SO GOOD!!!! Japan would be pleased with your efforts Mel. Such BEAUTIFUL Scenery and Art. Love seeing and hearing about the local & traditional foods. Yum!!!⛩🧡 ⛩ p/s You look so cute in your casual outfit🥰
Awww that means SO MUCH hun! I know normally these type of vlogs (without shopping lol) might not perform the best but this was definitely a highlight of our trip. We loved how scenic it was, not to mention I love art so the open air museum was such a treat. Oh yes hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the best food on your trip hands down xx
Definitely taking notes after watching this video as this looked like a perfect getaway. Loved that you showed us everything you ate. A great variety with small portions so you could try everything and not get overwhelmed.😄 I am sure you both walked it all off! You and your husband looked great in the traditional kimonos, too!😍
Wow Mel, that trip looks wonderful! I have always admired Japanese Culture (& the people ✅💖 🙌🏻 they have always been true to their traditions. It’s amazing 🤩 if u don’t mind me asking, hm did u spend for that trip to Hokane ❓❔❓ ☺️
Sugoi!!!😍😍😍 A Ryokan! And it had kotatsu and onsen omg! Styling for real. Food is the star at ryokan! Golden route stops you showed are fantastic, love the open air museum and bf loves the pirate ship🥰💕 Lifelong dream of visiting one day my ancestors' land. Wheelchair for distances is an issue, food allergies too. Some of the dishes you had can be made allergen-free though, I eat them at home:) That breakfast looks like a typical good country breakfast, but dinner looks like an incredible feast! Thank you so much for posting this❤
It is super cool and so authentic. 😍 They do cater for vegetarians and can alter the menu for dietary requirements but totally get that some of the food isn’t for everyone. Thanks so much for watching lovely xx

Hi Mel, loving the denim jeans!! May you please share the local boutique you got it from and the brand? The fit is amazing
I like the casual baggy jeans and cropped top outfit you had on. It's very street style and looks very chic on you!
This place looks so cool! I am deffs not an adventurous eater so I’d struggle with that aspect lol
