Check out the basics of HUD flying in airliners and business jets.
What is meant by head-up display?
A heads-up display (HUD) is a transparent or miniaturized display technology that does not require users to shift their gaze from where they are naturally looking. A HUD should not obstruct the user's view. This is typically achieved by the use of projected or reflected transparent displays in line-of-sight.
can you imagine all the IMC into terrain events we could have avoided if every airliner in the world had this
Yes, It would be wonderfull. Private jets are actually lightyear ahead of commercial passenger jets regarding avionic and these kind of equioment :)
that synthetic vision is something else
A great tool indeed 🤗
@@SimulationandAviation does the Plane has night vision
Or im just stupid
Our Falcon has synthetic, infared, and night vision in the HGS
I'm very disappointed that this didn't contain any mention of Rockwell's Turbo Encabulator.
It should. I will find out more and make it an issue :) Thanks for the input.
Really cool piece of equipment. I'd love to ser something liije this in cars.
Well, Mazda and Mercedes has something in a small size.
they exist
fascinating.....
Yes it is. And so many items that can help Flight safety :)
Pretty awesome ! In that first landing, the horizon line showing the arrows to pitch up was exactly the same as in Elite Dangerous when you land. I always thought that the user interface in games would be a great add to real life devices as they are already working with humans very well.
*face palms*
EFVS should have been in commercial airplanes long before. Could have averted something like an Air France crash
На каких моделях самолётов установлены данные HUD? На видео не показано, да и с объяснением не очень... Спасибо за видео!:)...

Sorry it's late btw
10:51 Why does it call "100 above" when the screen says 200?
100 above means 100ft above the minimums which is the decision height. look it up to make sure because I might not be 100 percent correct on weather its the decision height or not.
Iron man?
5:29 does anyone know what airport this is?
Can this HUD device allow us to see through foggy weather in day and night, yes or not?
It doesn't allow you to see through fog, but, in this version, it has a synthetic display of the terrain from stored data.
9:43 what is happening?
Not sure
