I don’t know how good it is, but there was an avatar game released for the Xbox 360. All I know about it is that it’s used for achievement speedruns because all achievements can be earned in the tutorial
I didn't even notice. Yeah, that's a neat idea. ... I guess they will use it as a means to diverge from the series, as they could always claim an unreliable narrator...
I couldn't agree with Jacob more when he says that avatar deserves a good game with it's world!! HOW TF HASN'T THERE BEEN A GOOD AVATAR GAME RELEASED YET IT'S INCREDIBLE!
The only piece of Avatar content universally known for quality and substance is the original series (prob the novels too though they're not as well-known; Korra and the Netflix version are debatable). Any company that tries to do anything else with Avatar has unfortunately fallen flat or failed spectacularly. I think it's cursed bc the original was such a high bar to clear
@@mrhalfsaid1389the ttrpg is good (and im a fan of the publisher) though im not the biggest fan of the combat part of it. It's not BAD, just...more restrictive than it needs to be given the system they're using (PbtA usually has much less rule-heavy combat, more focused on using moves creatively and keeping the narrative flowing)
I like how they could have just copy pasted the original “fire, water, earth, air” intro, but instead chose to not only make a new one, but spoil the show as well. Fuck, they literally could have thrown in clips from the show, but chose to follow the stupid comic strip trend in modern single player games.
This feels like they wanted to make an Avatar game to capitalize the lockdown popularity, then proceeded to cut everything that was not yet completed and use text scrolls between them.
10:40 This entire dialogue is taken from book two. We don't know Ursa or Ozai yet. We haven't met Zuko yet. There's no basis for this dialogue being here.
What kills me is that for the “cutscenes” they can’t even stick to one style. One (very rare) moment it’s 3D, then next it’s a comic book style, then it’s literally just a box of text, then it just randomly picks between the three above.
alpha was really focussed on the guy with an invisible shovel, but i was distracted by the woman in the background seemingly pushing an invisible wheelbarrow.

Ah yes my favourite Avatar episode, the one where Aang falls through the floor and spends the episode running around trying to find his way back into reality. Classic episode
At least Yue got to live in this game's version of the story. Though there's no The Great Divide level? For shame, it would've made a great Subway Surfers level.

Fun Fact: There’s been MANY AtLB games released over the years. Many of them are on the Wii, PS2, and XBOX, which I’ll remind you are around three generations BEFORE this game released. AND YET, those games have more quality and effort put into them than this game does. They don’t cut out content, the acting is good, and the cutscenes are actually animated. Like, we don’t need Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth quality, but they could do more than a butchered story summary and comic strips. It’s laziness at its worst.
For such a great series, their games have always looked like they were made by first year highschool art students for an exam. The models seem ok but animations are horrible, story is incoherent and mechanics are an abomination.
What i find sad is I can tell that they used art from the artist or team that worked on the comics. Which are pretty good and go over extra stuff like zukos mom. Decent art and story. So to find they had their talent used for something that people will mock sucks a lot. :(
