Absolutely, but they also released worst case scenarios where the sora model clearly fails to understand the prompt or understand physics. Overall, the Sora model just looks more realistic with more detail and higher res to me. Sora is likely better because it has billions in funding and endless resources. But you’re right! it’s not publicly available yet, I was just interested in the comparison myself.
@@GavinHerman I wouldn't call that worst case scenario^^ From what I see demos only released extremely expensive long videos with high resolution. An honest bad scenario would be a video extremely short with a bad quality, like what is likely going to be available. The Sora wost case scenarios are the one shared on twitter by those who had a temporary access to it.
@@lomio7250 Ok but soemone actually generated minecraft gameplay with sora and it looked like as if you used a texturepack in minecraft, what im saying is that its really good
So the thing is that both sora and luma ai are trained on different prompt types so pasting the prompts from sora to luma ai might generate some bad quality videos because the sora prompts are optimized for sora
I think the right way to compare those two models is to use prompts that are unseen to both, as you did for the Luma AI model. This will be a fair comparison to my opinion. Thanks!
Sora is so advanced that detailed prompts aren't necessary. I'll experiment with more complex prompts using "Dream Machine" before Sora becomes publicly available!
It's mind-blowing how fast this tech is evolving. I've been playing around with Luma AI's Dream Machine and I'm seriously impressed. SmythOS also an amazing AI tool.
I would assume that over time with use ai platforms will improve, but do you feel that with Dream Machine a much more detailed text prompt would curtail some of the generation issues?
I certainly think a more detailed prompt would aid in the generation. That being said, I think Luma just doesn't have the resources to compete with OpenAI on this scale quite yet... I suppose time will tell
I've been experimenting with luma image to video on some music videos. Check them out! So far I've found it great for camera moves, but hard to direct any specific character movement. So I've leant into it's weird dreamy qualities.
Luma themselves describe Dream Machine as “an AI model that makes high quality, realistic videos fast” From what’s been released I felt Sora was better at the high quality and realistic part But sure, it has an artistic angle :)

Love it! Maybe Dream Machine can do some damage with highly detailed prompting 👀

kind crazy... Will be interesting to see at what point it becomes indistinguishable from real videos
Any tips on prompts to use ?
OK..... I've tryed LUMA, but How I can Try Sora ? where ? I only find some ADV Website ! , please help me

let's be honest sora clips are just videos we haven't tested it at all.
Still can't access lumalabs with your link in the description 😢
that's odd, maybe it's limited in some regions
@@GavinHerman They started a waitlist for free tier users. Which is a bit of a lie on their part since no amount of waiting gets you access.
Such a fascinating comparison. Surely Sora will take over the scene...?
What's the maximum video length? Is it possible to make 10-15 minutes video?
you can keep extending it by 5 seconds after every video so I guess
Luma currently not even the dust of shoes in front of sora right now
DREAM MACHINE HAS ME TO WAIT A MONTH IF I RUN OUT OF 30 >:(
SO CUTE >:(
It is not available on desktop

i just decided to do that this week hows it going for you lets compair and share notes
these glitches can be creative, like my ball pen that leaks.....
Yes! Or be seen as an error that can’t be used in the final production
I can be creative with kid's crayons or the best oils; don't limit me by telling me "this is the best".
Enticing thumbnail led to insightful video!
Soon enough Open AI will Amp up their game and make a Sora 2.
or at least make it publicly available!
Is it just me or do you also find Gavin Herman looks like an AI, yes?
I'll take that as a compliment
Luma is so slow takes hours. It defeats the purpose of even using AI.
Do you free? It’s faster with a subscription
@@ThatSharkGirl You are right I was using free version. Didnt know there is a difference.
@@uahoeandabeeetch For me it’s currently about 40 seconds in queue and about 2 minutes for the dreaming

Roarr
Dream machine is suck and doesn’t make senses 😂
I tried both and luma is much better , Sora is all over the place when I used my own photo to animate
you tried sora? Interestinggg
Original Sora Ai isnt available at the moment, it's by invitation only.
