- Theon Cross has quickly made a name for himself providing his own unique brand of swaggering Tuba Bass in jazz and various other styles of music. Most significantly for the award-winning four-piece Sons of Kemet. He has also worked with a range of other well-known musicians including Jon Batiste & Stay Human, Pharoe Monch, Emile Sande and Kano.
In addition to his work as a sideman, he skillfully leads his own powerful and danceable group where he’s flanked by other strong emerging voices on the current London scene in Tenor saxophonist Nubya Garcia (Nerija) and drummer Moses Boyd (Binker&Moses).

As an old, lifelong jazz fan, I was becoming bitter and twisted in the belief that jazz today had become a formalised pale copy of the jazz of the past. Experimental jazz had become soul-less. THEN THIS!! WOW!!
if the drummer would stop rushing every fill this would be amazing
