Concept of pulley- single fixed and single movable pulley class 6th ICSE

Pulley is a simple machine which is commonly used to lift heavy loads, A Pulley is a flat metallic or wooden circular disc with a groove on its edge,
Rope passes through the groove, The pulley is capable of rotating around its Central axis called axle,
The simplest form of the pulley is called single fixed pulley. In this Pulley, the Axle is fixed to a rigid support called the block,
When we apply force downwards we make use of our own weight in order to apply effort. Thus, it is easier to pull the load,
Another simple form of pulley is the single movable pulley,
In this type of pulley one end of the Rope is fixed to a rigid support and the effort it is applied to the other end of the Rope, The load is attached to the pulley,
A combination of a fixed and movable pulley helps to pull much heavier load by applying less effort,
A single fixed Pulley is used to lift a bucket full of water from a well crane use a combination of pulleys to lift heavy loads,
A Pulley can raise a load of 100 kg by applying an effort equal to 20 kg weight. what is the mechanical advantage of the pulley,
Charles applies an effort of 40 N on a simple machine through a distance of 0.5 m and is able to push a load of 100 N through a distance of 10 cm. find the input , output and efficiency,
