61 - 891 Compressor Piston Damage

One of the bolts securing the piston cap to the piston broke off just below the head. This bolt head bounced around and caused considerable damage in just a few seconds. In the video I forgot to mention the cylinder wall. Even though the cylinder head was difficult to remove, the cylinder wall had no significant damage. There was some slight scoring, but we were able to smooth it out using 400 & 600 grit paper. Before installing the new valves I gauged the top and bottom piston clearances. I installed the thicker piston cap shim and this gave the correct top clearance. Had to remove one piston thrust washer to get the bottom clearance correct.
