Nothing to worry while traveling in North East India especially in hill region. People are well organise, sociable, friendly and welcoming.

You are really brave. Having said so, you need not to be worried about the safety because people are very friendly and helpful. I would suggest you to stop by Senapati next time if you travel again because the journey is pretty stressful due to the road condition for such a long journey..

I had been to Dimapur on my way out from Nagaland, and to Guwahati by train back in 2019 and there was this massive strike towards the end of Hornbill Festival time. Such regions will always throw up unexpected situations or should I say issues which provides an adventure by its own. My Nagaland trip was to be along with Manipur, but due to certain factors like Longwa trip, I chose Guwahati as a to and from base by air, coming from Goa,

You should have visited Churachandpur just 60km from Imphal where people are more hispitable and welcoming. Northeast excluding Assam is like mini Thailand. Here you are not only safe but also among your own people. Pl do visit us again.

Im from nagaland,It is safe to travel in northeast india but apart from others state beware not very safe for both girl n boy,becoz their mindset very different from other,so I suggest not to travel in others state of india,cause I already face this problem,lots of racism n inequality n negativity etc.
