It’s good to be able to hear the cars when they’re driving for a comparison of the sound.
Any chance of a re-upload without the music?
This reminds me of a show I used to watch on BBC many moons ago where they used to review cars. 🤔
Nope, no clue ;)
Heehehehhehehehe 🙏🏻
I would like to see Tamiyas vs Kyoshos!
Thanks for the fun video, it would be cool if you ran them all on a 540 silver can on 2s. My local club runs a 540 class and pretty cool really balances out the field from vintage to modern buggies. Love the track, wish I had the space.
Love it! So interesting to see these cars go head to head and to see how the cars have progressed. That K1 is rapid 😀
Nice to see them all on the track.
Gav is The Stig of RC! We need to get him a white race suit.
I can't remember the Hot Shot being that nimble. I had a Super Sabre and it never cornered like that. The XLS out cornered most cars, except the PB Mini Mustang. Cool video buddy, loved it.
Great! More of these fun vids please! haha!
Nice! Great driving, that track has a dangerous corner with a hard wall. I sure hope none of you cars gets a bad impact there and damages the house !
LOL no but the drone crashed into the house today LOL
Nice Run Gavin 😎👌🏻
Good fun that Gavin and love the Top gear like table! Not surprising you enjoyed the HS most to drive its a classic!! and not that fast in comparison obviously but always a pleasure to drive! I need to get one again!!
Great stuff mate.
Nice Video! Same tires and motors would be better for sure😅 A medium jump could show some more... Schumacher are great cars👍 i like to see the cat xls vs avante
Hi Gav & Becca, loving the show, recently discovered your channel and going through your past video's. My mate's and I are planning a Rally rc competition and looking at timing systems, just wondered what you are using?
Wow!! The ultimate trio! Nice collection of cars. That cat k1 aero is nice, I think it’s a generation ahead of my car sx2. Great video Gav your garden track is the best. 👍😎
great hotshot there i would get that one then the rest of them could u tell me whats the different between the hotshot and the supershot and the hotshot 2 whats the best car i mean thanks
You should slap the car times against the board the way Jezzer used to :)
I would have suggested a modern ~$250 2WD buggy RTR shootout, but there's not enough of those currently on the market to do that. It would literally just be the highly engineered Serpent SRX-2 MM RTR vs the powerful but woefully outdated Traxxas Bandit VXL, and we all know how that will go down - the SRX-2 would completely destroy the Bandit and the Traxxas Fanboys will get salty.
The correct tyre choice will pay dividends 😁
Great video and love the leader board 😍
Wow that was surprising I expected the Schumacher to win but a nice surprise, shame about the hotshot,😀😀😀
Great vid.
Have you been steeling traffic cones... Also just built up avante 2011 after having 2001 as a kid.. Do you think bushless is a good idea .. And if so how much power do think 🤔
Yes you can run brushless but don’t go bonkers 👍🏻
Cool video, What type of tires did you put on the Schumacher XLS.
Can we see some laps with the K1 on new tyres please? The ones on the car are almost slicks! ;)
To test the sterling out on the buggys, you should do some weaving in ñ out off the cones.
How does the Falcon do on the track? A shoot out would be fun with tamiya 2wd buggies. Grasshopper, hornet, frog, falcon, fox.
All coming to the BGRAT 👍🏻
What lap timing app do you use??
LapTracker app. I was planning on getting a LapMonitor unit and I talked with the company about getting one on the show. The owner was happy to send one for review but he never came back to me in the end so I found the Laptracker app.
Gavin, liking this track comp for the cars. Can you do a timed lap/laps board like Topgear?. You could even give the driver a name, rather than"The Stig" how about " The Git" just a suggestion.
That's basically what he's doing, just without the comedy elements.
@@VestedUTuber Kinda knew that, would be good to see a dedicated board. Will soon forget what did what
Hey, Gav, bet you can't guess what I was rooting for! :P
The rally car? 👍🏻
I watched your collaboration interview video. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@RCKickschannel Haha! Yeah, it was a Tamiya I was backing, anyway! But I reckon my TT-02 Type-S would give these buggies a run for their money on your BGRAT Track! :P
@@RCKickschannel Cheers, mate! Hope you enjoyed it! :))
I love my Hotshot. It’s in need of some love but in this condition I can drive and enjoy it. I have everything to restore it but I keep putting it off as it will then become a shelf queen and I’m not ready to give up driving it just yet.
Tt02b next pls
could you add something to outline the track like a garden hose or long piece of rope Just an idea for you if you have not already thought of it 👍 it would make it easier for us viewers to see were the actual track is.
100% yes Paul! The cones work well for me but don’t work on camera. The plan is to change to a 5cm rope for edging. The issue is the bill is almost £200! I’m holding off to see if these videos are popular. If people watch them enough, I will save up and place an order for it. 👍🏻
@@RCKickschannel Sorry for very late reply, but why not just buy a bright yellow garden hose and use that? cost only about £20 not £200! i know the hose will only be about half the diameter of the rope you mention.
That was pretty predictable, would like to see era correct match ups, like the Frog vs the Kyosho Scorpion . The modern buggies with the right tires will always outpace the classic buggies. Maybe see some of those early 90s tamiyas like the Dyna Storm and Super Astute .
Over time the lap time chart will match up cars from all time frames and classes
great video, now you need to hire a proper racer to set the lap times.
Looking at body design, going from the old to the new, What happened!
Engineering happened. RC car bodies have become a tuning option now, rather than just an aesthetic choice. Like them or hate them, aerodynamically optimized cab-forward bodies are here to stay, at least on the racing side of things.
