Carla, I have seen several crafters try to make ‘cotton’, but I have never seen anyone come this close to looking realistic. Girl, have you been in a cotton field? Lol. Lord knows I have spent many a day or after school afternoon there. Daddy wouldn’t let me stay for basketball practice until the cotton was all picked. This made the coach really happy with me since I stood 5’10” at age 15. Lol. Your cotton looks so real, I can’t believe it. When the winter ‘sets in’ here in North Carolina, I am going to enjoy going back to your videos and making roses, butterflies, and other things, but FIRST cotton. Thanks for sharing your talents, Carla. This one brought back some good memories and I really enjoyed it.
Carla I love this. I had made a few myself but used a toilet paper inside cardboard for my husks. I'm glad to see your method. I will be changing to the paper towels now. I plan to make these into my winter wreath. Thank you so much.
Oh my goodness, this looks so realistic and beautiful! My grandma lived next to a big cotton field and these remind me of her. Thank you and God bless you! ❤️
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity and ability to teach techniques, etc. This does look amazingly realistic. A couple times I wanted some cotton for an arrangement and wished I could find the farmer so I could ask to buy a couple stalks. Now I know how to make some. Thank you for sharing this presentation. God bless you, my friend.
