Thank you, very much for sharing this retro unboxing. Own an All-in-One 5500 which, has the same form factor just like my first Apple desktop in 1996. This design is classic with dual speakers on the front, headphone jack, floppy drive, CD-ROM and 15-inch Sony display. But, what makes this system fun is its internal expansion bays when you add an internal Ethernet port in its communication slot, the Apple internal video system (with RCA) inputs in its card slot, the Apple internal TV/FM radio system (which comes with a matching black remote control) in its card slot, and a USB card in its one open 7-inch PCI card slot. Then you have the system Apple truly envisioned for the home. You can use the remote control to power on and off the computer from across the room, record and edit video from your VCR, hear/record live radio or watch/record TV shows (smile...smile).
My first Apple computer in my 30's was the model right after this one and it was also, in this same form factor an All-in-One 5400 back around 1996. Knew, I wanted to be able to watch over the air TV shows and paid a little extra for the Apple TV package with included: an internal Apple video card system (with RCA inputs) plus an internal Apple TV/FM card system with a matching black remote control. Years later, I upgraded the processor from is stock 180Mz 603(e) to a 300Mz G3. Missed having this model so much that about 10-years ago, I picked up on Ebay an All-in-One 5500. After adding my internal video card, TV/FM card, and G3 upgrade card it was as if, my old desktop had come back to life ...(smile).
Try to start the Macintosh without loading the extensions ;) Hold down the Shift-Key while booting until it says "Extensions turned off..." or similar. On the other side it could be also a faulty HDD or corrupt Macintosh OS installation :/
i remember in grade 8 / 1996 our school purchased about 12 of them at a cost of 3500 each (1996 dollars) they were so slow. we couldnt get any work done. pushing print would take for ever. then one day i said please let us use the windows computers they would print instantly and would always work. we use the boxes of the apple as sleds

Excited to see your channel grow!
Thank you! It has been on a break for a while, because I’m moving at the moment. I’d love to pick it up once everything is back to normal again :)
Amazing!!! ... Wish it Booted up all the Way ; I have one of these from a School, But it’s missing the stand
Ah that's sad! I'm trying all the tips people gave me this weekend. Hopefully it will boot :)
I remember wanting one of these as a teenager!
That’s so cool! Did you manage to get one eventually?
@@retr0-apple731 Unfortunately, no. As I recall, I ended up with a PC “clone” installed with Windows 3.1! Memories… 😄

I will have a look at that :) Thank you so much for the tips!
I used that computer at ESM when I was a kid.
Does it have a crash chime 1 no chime 2?
Since 1995
Don't all keyboards have the feet at the back? Even now?
They do, actually!
@@retr0-apple731 good :)
Do you have any Macintosh from the II line boxed? I would love to see a Macintosh II or IIci unboxing!
I do not sadly. I do have the IIci and the IIsi as loose computers laying around :)
@@retr0-apple731 Those computers are soo rare in their boxes... I hope you will find one soon !
@@chpcaliforniahighwaypatrol I hope so too! I'm keeping my eyes wide open. Never actually saw one for sale (boxed), but never say never ;)

Ah sad they were so slow! Did you use an Apple printer or a universal one?
