- Gabriel speaks with Dre Bowie who has been in films such as "Land of the Lost" working as a Sleestak. "Power Blue," with the likes of Jessica Biel, Ray Liotta, Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Patrick Swayze, and Oscar nominee Kris Kristofferson under the direction of Timothy Linh Bui. You'll see him sandwiched between Ray Liotta and Forest Whitaker playing one on one basketball.
A few years ago you saw Dre as a student who was inspired by 2 time Oscar Winner Hillary Swank in Paramount's motion picture "Freedom Writers" where it was her job to teach her students to learn tolerance, apply themselves and to pursue education beyond high school. This film won a few festival awards and gave recognition to Dre. Oscar nominated ("The Fisher King") director Richard LaGravenese auditioned Dre. Richard selected Dre from thousands of other actors for this pivotal role as a freedom writer. Around that time Dre was chosen to be part of the look with Oscar Winner George Clooney. This look appeared in Esquire Magazine.
