"In 2400, this timeline's AI mankind created the Archetype. As explained in Arcueid's part 2 infodump, when a planet's life fully matures, they create an Archetype to serve as the seed of a new planet and the model for its life. The AI mankind here successfully created their superior successor species. One problem though: the current mankind is a bunch of AIs based on the survivors of Anthony Beckman's war. The privileged elites who practically destroyed the world because they couldn't accept that the advancement of social equality would make them no longer special. The new mankind abhorred the fact that they created the seed of a species more special than themselves, so their Archetype never awakened. By creating an Archetype, they defined their future. By not awakening their Archetype, they refused to go into the future defined for them. This tanked their Human Order value, dooming the timeline to be pruned if the issue isn't fixed. If they destroyed the Archetype, maybe they could have another chance, but the guys who want to be special forever would destroy their greatest accomplishment. With the creation of the Archetype, they achieved the final goal of the species, so the immortal people couldn't find new things to do and began shutting themselves off one by one until the world was fully abandoned by the 2900s. The timeline would be pruned in 3000, except their administrator BB Dubai rebooted Moon Dubai to show off to the Human Order evaluation that civilization was still functioning, effectively stalling the pruning until the current chapter. BB Dubai arranged the doomsday election in futile hopes that changing mankind's end would prevent the timeline's pruning. AI mankind would die either way, but at least their history wouldn't be undone. In the end, Kiara won the election, successfully completing BB Dubai's project, but that success meant nothing because changing the ending doesn't address the cause of the pruning. Our redeemed Anthony does launch the Archetype during the climax, but that turns out to be too late. The final evaluation already happened and the pruning process already started. So BB Cosmos gives her entire self to BB Dubai to give her a new chance to save her world, and they fuse into Golden BB. Golden BB uses her power to turn the corrective permeation of Human Order into something visible, and more importantly, punchable. And that's what the final boss is." - Comun in forums nrvnqsr
So Ritsuka and co decided to fight the literal Pruning Theoretical Phenomenon itself? Yeah, that's probably as close as it'll get to personally punching Alaya in its face.
So, er... this could be a FGO Part 2 (Pen-)Ultimate Final Boss preview... IF Lasengele decides to recycle the artwork and/or animations. @mamons30 no we are fighting a archetype of a new species that new human species is the third generation ai as for the mooncancer class its basically meant to be about trusting in the future even if primate humanity has to meet its end
