Here in UK the diet industry and the doctors advice always say only have half a day of the Hass ones. I've never seen the other ones in Manchester UK. Love the Hass ones, never have just the half.

I've been getting 3 lbs avocados out of my Marcus tree for years! I didn't know Choquettes could be that heavy too. NICE!!! My favorite way to eat them is by filling the pit hole with honey and using a spoon to get chunks out of it.

@@MasterKenfuciusI only started weighing them carefully this year so just above 3lbs is my biggest so far. I used to weight them in a shopping bag with a fishing scale but that's not very accurate. My Simmonds and Choquette are hands down my biggest. Oh and the Russell too.

definitely Hall, I'll save a few Catalina but it's late in the season for them so I'll be curious to see how they taste. the handful I have left are starting to fall on their own which means they are at the end of the season...but yes they're will still be some to find...especially with your wife's eagle eye.

Have you tried turning avocado into a yogurt type consistency with lemon juice and sugar? It was the only way people ate it in Mozambique. It was my favorite fruit, not added to food like nowadays. I would eat a whole bowl full.

I have some serious appreciation going on for those trees you have, and the fruits they are producing. My ignorance on this, well, I'm a Brit, who feels lucky if I can even get the rock hard little Hass types to ripen enough to be edible! I am not sure but here in South Africa I think we do get the "Choquette" Variety in our southern province called Natal. We call them Natal Avo's and some of us call it the Butter Avo because of the colour and texture. But funny enough in the Northern Province "Gauteng" we do not see these avos at all. We only get the Haas Variety and perhaps another type I am not sure the species name but it's slightly bigger than Haas , looks almost like a pear shape. Funny how avos simply don't grow in certain regions.

I have a question. Are you only farming in Fruit Baring Produce or are you also branched out into other kinds of crops. Eg I have been watching another YT channel called Utmost Precision where they are growing Avos in Kenya. The Lady there has also branched out into the latest gold rush "Snail Farming" , Snail Farming in Africa is becoming a huge thing that is making some farmers rather wealthy. Anyways back to my question have you branched out for other bumper crops as well? here is a link to the lady I mentioned. ua-cam.com/video/oDTvrsLhI3Y/v-deo.html

It really bugged me when he put salt and pepper on the avocado coz in my country we go the sweet route and not the savoury one. We mash it, put sugar in it and eat it with a variety of other foods. Like spread it on bread, or dip a boiled sweet potato or cassava in it. Its heavenly.
