Honestly this tournament came out a lot better then I thought, a lot of intense game 5s (mostly from Sonix) crazy reset from shuton and syrup winning all from the lcq
This tournament makes me realize I'm happy and have more fun to play with my low tiers than play these boring characters (except for bruho, Zap, and jahzz0) 😁 P.S: I know shotos and luigi aren't low, but for me, they are fun to watch and play
Don't like steve either but please everyone stop hating on onin. Like, they beat the best player in the venue and possibly in the world, I'd have popped off even harder if I did that, and y'all probably would have too
@@stevanhaire5300 Sonix hasn't lost to Steve offline for like two years. That's a crazy feat and for Onin to beat him despite it is still seriously impressive.
But it's not getting another one because the game wasn't designed for competitive play. Smash players want to complain to Nintendo about their "fighting game scene" when the game was never made for that in the first place.
@TranquilAtTheDisco smash ultimate has plenty of non-competitive issues with the game, all of online for example... moves that still don't work or connect correctly and a variety of glitches, most of which Steve is responsible for.
I was convinced that this matchup was impossible for steve. And Sonix only lost last time cuz of wifi. Now i got comfirmation that this MU is playable.
Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
He's boring to watch. With adjustments and an actual risk vs reward factor he could have been hype. Heck, if people actually went for hype stuff instead of the best bread and butter SSBU has to offer, he'd be cool. Just not the reality we live in.
@@kjgrizzly11 that’s a criticism of the character. If you don’t like Steve, that’s fine. If you don’t like watching Steve gameplay, that’s also fine. The issue I’m stating is that people are hating one the players who main Steve. It’s one thing to say you don’t like watching these players play, but it’s another thing to undermine their wins because of the character they play. Hate the character all you want, but separate the character from the player.
@@djbossxd3389 Oh 100% I agree. There is a difference between the player and the character. That being said, as the Steve player, making the decision to play Steve (playing the best character in the game), it does not shield you from criticism for abusing said character. It's meta, sure, it's also unpopular because of the perceived unfairness of the character, which for many people ruin the competitive aspect of the game. Every tourney win with Steve is marred, as it's easy to make the case they are carried by the character. A W's a W, the Steve player gets the W, and it comes with a cost. With no new balance patches ever coming to the game, the communities outlook on Steve is never going to change. And I don't see that as a bad thing. Steve players make viewer decline drop. Viewer decline is typically viewed as less interest in the game. Steve slowly but inevitably killing the competitive scene of SSBU. Personally I think a new game will come out before Steve actually puts nails in the coffin. But vitriol for Steve players actually makes sense if you enjoy watching SSBU competitively.
@ I understand where you’re coming from. It makes sense that if you play the best character in any fighting game, you are going to be accused of being carried by a few people and your wins are going to be viewed as less impressive. I just don’t think this a valid criticism given the current state of SSBU’s competitive scene. A lot of the top players have gotten really good at playing against and countering Steve. That doesn’t mean that it’s easy for the pros to fight against him, but it shows that the players are willing to put in time to learn the counter play against Steve. As a result, Steve players also have to adapt to the new play styles the other pros are developing. I think calling any player “carried” undermines their time and effort the players put into being the best of best. It’s upsetting that the playerbase’s opinion on Steve players probably won’t change.

This tournament was kinda sad. These characters just aren't that interesting to watch.
Smash Ultimate desperately needs another patch
No DLC no sonic and no gnw and the game is perfect

I'm so glad they committed to the rather rough character pool and I'm not being sarcastic.
