Got my entire 1000sqft basement painted -- ceiling, wall and floor. It does require more prep work can clean up than rolling but for all the uneven nooks and crannies places, this is awesome. Do invest in more bits and an extension rod if you need to spray. You must clean the bits and take the filter out and flush the system with mineral oil or it will harden and it will be a pain to use the next time. Def worth the money.
Read the mixed reviews on this sprayer, but then again all the sprayers in this price range had some sketchy reviews. I decided to give it a try and it has worked just like it should. Not one hiccup. I'm about 30 gallons in and have cleaned it EXACTLY like the paperwork says and it has been a real blessing. And the majority of the paint was actually kilz and other drywall primer and worked excellent. Go ahead and buy a couple additional spray tips and spray gun filters just to have when you buy. I have been using the 515 just like it came with. I used a Graco one when the first one wore out and it didn't even last as long and cost almost twice as much $20 vs $38 .

Here’s an idea, why don’t you include how to load the key into the spray gun because the paper directions are zero help

They turn key must be placed in the sprayer tip before it is hand screwed onto the gun. This effectively locks the key in place.
If you have the tip already on the gun, it won't go in.

Bought one and the machine worked great. The BIG Mistake that I made was to spray indoors: living room, dining room, and long hallway. The preparation takes a long time. You have to cover everything that you dont want to get paint on. When spraying the walls, an unavoidable mist (I guess people call it overspray) gets everywhere so you really have to take the time and prep everything carefully. Again, when spraying the machine worked really well. For me, I would only use it outdoors or only on new construction indoors where paint getting everywhere really doesnt matter. Bottom line: machine worked really well, but not for indoor painting.
you can turn down the pressure or you would have to get one that support low pressure tips. no matter what you will still get overspray with any airless sprayer
Turn down the pressure and use the appropriate tip. When it comes to spraying the work is in the prep. It’s a skill issue, not a hardware issue.
Indoor painting just cut and roll that’s easiest

Harbor Freight sells Avanti Piston Lube Oil. I could not find any instructions on how to oil the piston and how often to do so.
Is there a piston lube port on this sprayer?

The instruction video on the Avanti airless paint sprayer is awful first you prime then spray then prime however the instructor should have said "turn knob to prime again" because the first step had it in prime I had totally forgotten he at one point instructed to turn the knob to spray if he had only said turn to prime a second time or turn to prime again the user would not be confused.
Daaam this guy comfused the hell outa me.
I’m watching this video for the 100th time and I still don’t feel safe or comfortable with it. Plus the warning sign that on every page that of the manual saying that returns are not accepted & warranty void if sprayer is properly cleaned (and the video does not show what how to properly clean the equipment)
Would love a video about doing thw atorage fluid (only comes with small bottle) and how to oil it.
All your other products have a setup video and a separate cleaning video. This one doesnt.

Very simple set up, similar to every other airless I’ve used.
If we had any experience setting up an airless sprayer we wouldn’t be watching this video.

Getting the tip loaded takes a minute but once you get it youll have it figured out, and the priming seems intemidating but you have to actually do it ! Its not as complicated as it seems, and always rinse your machine when youre done,

Most brands will have a similar procedure. I painted my privacy fence a few years ago. Took a few times but made sense once I did it.
Imagine trying to set this up for the first time after having a few beers. instructions unclear. got pp stuck in suction hose.

Why not just prime it with paint and clean and clear it with water?
it's for testing when you first use it (or after having it stored). if something goes wrong with priming, now you have to deal with cleaning it out
I don't know if it "doesn't matter" the instruction booklet says to put the priming hose I to the paint bucket with the suction hose, but he kept it separate. 🤷♀️ I guess the different of "saving wasted paint"?
Doing this now. Once I switched to spray during priming, the machine goes into a seizure as I squeeze the spray gun. I’m trying to do this exactly like in the video.
Quick follow up. I got it working. It takes a lil getting used to. It uses a LOT of paint in comparison to their smaller gun(can’t remember the model number). Anyway, once I got going it was pretty simple. Overall, it’s not a bad investment.
I’ll just read the manual. Guy has me feeling stupid.
Looks like the tip does not lock in and it does not stay until you attach the sprayer? We don't see any way to lock it in by itself... unless we are missing something??? No info on that. 😐

Never used one of these the video has one tube in water and one in paint and then said your ready to paint. Does the sprayer need to be running water while painting??
i was told you cant use any latex paint that has primer in it like Beher paint. with primer....is that true?? it know Home Depot will not let you rent a paint sprayer unless it is pure latex NO PRIMER>..is this true with this unit>--thanks

Just curious (I'm not an expert, just learning) but why would the paint having or not having primer matter?
@bishopp14 primer has an adhesive that kinda coagulates when cleaned with just water. But you can use soapy water and it works better. Not sure any other reason why.

I’ve never owned a paint sprayer before so maybe someone can explain me this. Let’s say you’re using oil based stain and the system is dry and clean. What is the reason you have to prime it with mineral spirit first and then with stain? To me it seems like you can prime the system by putting both hoses in the bucket with stain and not waste any product.
Because the mineral spirits washes out any pump fluid or water to keep it from mixing with oil.

@@googuser4040 For the same reason you're suppose to damp your paint brush before painting. It helps the paint flow because it could otherwise stick and dry up in the machine where the plastic is dry. If its wet the paint will take much longer to dry up in the machine.

I’m a Graco spray airless person. But the Graco gun filters do not fit these cheap guns. What’s the part number for the Avanti spray gun filter???
It's been a year since you posted this so you probably already figured it out but the SKU for the Avanti 60 mesh spray gun filter (blue) is 58560.
After I did all of this it sprays paint till the pressure runs out then the motor stays on continuously what can be the problem?
You have to prime the machine. Prime it for 10 seconds and it should stop

Can you use Glidden premium acrylic interior paint in these sprayers? Or is latex best?

Bought one of these and it's defective right out of the box. It absolutely will not prime not matter what I do or try. And I've used an airless sprayer before. Pretty disappointed.

Don’t purchase this unit unless you purchase the extended warranty. I bought it but didn’t get to use it until it was a few days out of warranty. There’s only a 90 day warranty for a reason. The motor seems to work fine; however, the rest of the machine is not worth the money- starting with the handle-junk right out of the box. Calling customer is useless without the warranty. They will tell you only what’s in the manual but keep you on the phone for a such a long time making you think they can give you new information, but they never do.
Spend the extra money and purchase the major brand.

It does seem pretty complicated but from what I've read, all airless sprayers of this kind have similar set-up / cleaning procedures. Kind of a "nature of the beast" thing.
Building a nuclear reactor would be less complicated. Geeze!

.i needed to unstop the part of the sprayer that u attach the hose to. The primer and spray knob is on that part...i have yet to get an answer from them junk making people

I have one on the way. I wanted it to Spray the exterior of my home. after reading deeper into the subject, I may return it for a Graco. That does Enamel Paint great, I might just keep the Above for indoor latex painting. You should go with Buying an extension for the hand sprayer for the above, after reading I have found 20 inch to be the most liked. Also read up on the tip you use....Okay Best of luck to you!

I just got mine 2/20/21 ..I will get it together , I am going to pick up the 10inch extension. I am Going to try mine Next week on a Bedroom with Latex. I will Post the results I have.
Is there any way to control the spray quantity? When I use it it runs through a 5 gallon bucket of paint within minutes.

The sprayer is fine. The video sucks. Doesn't include all the necessary steps. This video could get someone hurt.

This machine is horrible and leaked at the gun, returning asap, made a mess in my bedroom, just rolling next time from the beginning.
The included guard is garbage, mine split first use. I used a Graco guard and it works great.
You just have to tighten it good and the leaks stop mine worked great painted the whole house and 300ft x 7 wall zero issues

This video is no help. When you start trying it. My machine won't turn off when his does. You sit for a WHILE! and nope.
