I love night-time, night lights, and night views. City lights, too. Magical views, super-structures, and sharing your feelings about how different you feel when you're working in your city...and when you're living in your city...is a lovely moment, and you are a great host for us.
I missed Japan . I missed Asakusa specially night time beside Sumida River. I was living in Japan for 12 years since 1993 until 2004 . Japan is the best place I ever visited. Every time I watch one of your video I feel crying like Baby .
LOVED this...especially like how you whispered, lol. That temple was amazing, and the night walk was just quite lovely and a great perspective being so dark and relatively quiet, yet so beautifully lit up. The bridge views were my favorite. I'm glad to hear you are taking care of your mental health, it's so very important for your whole soul.
citys at night are magical .Any large city like Chicago, new york, dallas, and even fort worth fill me with wonder and excitement. love your vid stay cool i live in arizona tomorrow will be 106 bye bye
Hi Shinichi good to see you thanks for sharing this video it was just what needed walk at night light was nice walking through each street thanks stay safe and God bless 💖
I really enjoyed seeing Asakusa at night, as if it were the early hours of the morning. The Sumida River walk is really nice in the day too. Fun fact: the famous artist Hokusai lived and worked in this part of Edo (as it then was). The now have a museum in Sumida celebrating him.
Thank you for letting us know your bad feelings have passed, Shinichi! Nothing like some gorgeous city lights and a night or two in a hotel for a person who loves to travel! ♥️
I agree that staying at a hotel in your home town feels great. I did a staycation in Waikiki last month for 2 nights and felt really refreshed. Not going home for those 2 nights really helped with my emotions.
Thank you for the update Shinichi! Hang in there, keep trying to think positive and remember so many people are sending you positive energy! On the hotel... I'm a scaredy pants at a 4 year old level and just by the name of the hotel and the very real holograms it would creep me out! Thank you for beautiful night shots!
WOW. That hotel looks really nice, and for the price it's a bargain. It looks so quiet and peaceful on your walk to the temple. And the temple looks really nice all lit up. That dragon fountain is stunning. Bet it looks even better when water is flowing. Love watching your walking tours, they are so relaxing.
It's so nice to see you out and about in Tokyo, and away from home . Such a beautiful part of the city to enjoy and destress . You look so happy in this video . That's what I love about Shinichi 🌏 so much to see and learn about you, Japan and also ourselves . Enjoy your time away from the kaios .
So glad to hear that you're feeling better Shinichi and just want to say a massive thank you for producing such calming and optimistic content. Your videos have kept my wife and I entertained over the course of this difficult year and we're looking forward to the day we will be able to visit Japan again. Big love ❤
Thank you, Shinichi, for taking us along on your walk. We love and miss Asakusa. We always stay in this area whenever we’re in Tokyo. It has a nice “feel” 💕. Glad you’re feeling brighter and nice to see your happy smile. Stay strong🙂🙏🏻💕
Shinichi 有り難う I miss visiting Japan and can't wait to return soon after the restrictions. Love the night shots and tip for where to stay while in Asakusa!
Made me realize I've never seen Asakusa at night :) Only the other side of tokyo like Shinuya, Shinjuku and Ikebukuro and the local neighbourhood in Itabashi-ku and Yabaka ginza area. It looks lovely! I love the bridges over the Sumida gawa. I've taken the water taxi from Asakusa to Hamamatsucho a couple of times. No Tokyo is so incredibly big that staying there in a hotel even if you live there is absolutely not a waste. You discover another part of your hometown that way :) And just get out of the house even just one night, especially under the current circumstances is always good.
Tokyo...largest city in the world...no wonder you have so many amazing places to visit and film. I enjoy your walks and would love one day to visit Japan...you have educated me and taught me so much through your channels...thanks and cheers from Ontario, Canada
Glad too see you found a place to get away ... with all of the confinement we all have been forced to endure, we all need it ❤️ Thank you for the evening water way walk, I just love the city lights on the water. Here in Rochester NY... I can usually be found walk along the lake late at night and sitting with a hot cup of coffee along the Genoese River....soooooo peaceful 🥰🤟🏻👋🏼
Love Asakusa so much so special to me!!!❤ Good to see you feeling a bit better too shinichi!!! Love city night lights too and so nice I love skytree always changing colours and designs can't go wrong with 30 dollars a night to clear your mind and a different setting too!!! ✌
Thank you for showing us that Henna Hotel...what a neat concept. Having never been to Japan I truly appreciated that tidbit of information u gave us about those hanging Sandals from Satoshi's home town. I love info like that. I'm so glad u have a good perspective now. I totally agree, that a change of scenery will totally change ur mood. Watching the Tabieats channels are my answer to getting out of a funk. So, I'm extremely happy, that you have found a trigger to get you out of ur funk. I love you and Satoshi, and think about u daily. I don't know if you know this...but u were my very 1st UA-camrs. B4 you, I NEVER watched UA-cam. I couldn't have discovered a better couple to introduce me to the world of UA-cam. So, you always will have a special place in my heart. Take care Brother...
Never been? You really should as soon as they open back up. If Shinichi does do tours like he mentioned, we should all sign up. I've been to Tokyo by my self twice. 🤗
Glad you are feeling a bit better. You have a way of finding beauty everywhere. I enjoyed the walk and seeing the temple at night. It is a nice reminder of our visit. We even arrived to the area on the boat that comes to that pier you were beside right before you walked through the tunnel.
How many times have I walked past the temple??? I've stayed in Asakusa for a total of about 12 weeks and I never once noticed the sandals!! Thanks for showing us them, Shinichi. This is why I keep coming back to Japan - friends always ask why I don't go to different places each time and I try to explain that there is always something new to discover in a place you have already visited. Can't wait for Japan to open up again so I can come and check out the sandals! Love these walks, Shinichi!
The pandemic has affected every one on many different levels. A change of pace and scenery sometimes is all that is needed to lift ones spirits. Im glad you're feeling a little better!
I'm so glad to hear that yr feeling better. I agree a staycation/workation is relaxing even though u live there. Thank u for sharing a view of the shrine at night, beautiful & serene. Your awesome. Stay great & safe
Glad you are feeling a bit better. We all can use a bit of a lift these days. It helps when we can talk about our feelings and having a workcation gives you a change of surroundings and can give you a bit of freedom so to speak. You take care of yourself mentally and physically.
I went to Japan in February 2020 ,just at the beginning of the Pandemia.I could visit many beautiful places and Asakusa was one of them. The stores were all open and was full of people. My daughters wore Kimono and walked along enjoying the experience and places. We walked to the Temples and then to the Sumida River at night. The view was amazing.Thank you for making me to remember those places again.Regards from Chile.
This was a lovely walk by the river ❤️ thank you for taking us with you! It felt so good seeing you getting time to recharge energy and just being in the moment. You are precious and I'm happy for you!
When I visited Japan with my Mum, we were staying in Asakusa and went to a 7-11 at 3am, and it was a wonderful experience. I've never been anywhere we'd have felt safe doing that, and Tokyo is so pretty at night. This video has made me a bit impatient to visit again xD
My husband and I would stay at local hotels and it does give you a different perspective and also appreciation. We discovered new restaurants and little small shops I would have never paid much attention to. Plus, it is nice to stay and not worry about doing laundry or housework. LOL!
Ah!! Such good memories with that game! A bunch of talented modders are trying to recreate Fallout New Vegas in Fallout 4’s engine. It’s still a ways away but so far it looks good.
Staycations are always relaxing! You are also patronizing an establishment during a time when they need it. Also, just a reminder...we will all get to the other side of this. Until then, take care of yourself.
My hotel was also located between Asakusa and Ueno. But it was a cheap hotel :( But I loved Asakusa at night especially! Sensoji temple and nakamise street looked even more beautiful! Can't wait to go back to Japan
I love night walks. That was beautiful. When I was a kid my mom would take me on "mini vacations" ... we didn't have the money for big fancy vacations so every once in a while she would check us into a hotel for just a couple of days we would go out to dinner, (usually a Chinese restaurant if I picked) go to the movies then back to the hotel. I'd get to swim in the pool and get snacks out of the vending machine which for a 6 year old was the best. It was fun and relaxing, so I think it's great that your doing that for yourself. I'm glad you're feeling better. Take care.😊
Ooh fun! I am so glad you did it. I wish I could take a staycation too but I’m afraid my mom doesn’t understand the concept. I saw some news articles on these hotels and it seemed so interesting! Brings back fond memories of our time there. Hope to take mom back in 2022 if she is genki. Take care and love to you and Satoshi!

In the U.K. hotels are all shut, have been since the beginning. So we can’t do this, restaurants are shut and have been since the beginning we can have delivery that’s it. So many restaurants will have closed as they couldn’t set up delivery :( a real shame. All because some people just refuse to stop congregating and having parties etc.
How romantic the place.I miss my ex boyfriend Japanese .I wish I tourist to Japan if finished the pandemic around the world.with my sister marilou, beth , vangie and other relatives.
Hold on a second, you're near where UA-camr's Kyde and Eric's apartment is! They always make fun of the 'golden poo' from the Asahi building as they see it from their balcony 😁 Will you guys ever collab with them?
