In this series of videos I'm taking a deep look at my current paintings and examining them for technique and possible symbolic meaning. My painting process involves tapping into a liminal dream state to allow the spontaneous creation of images with minimal conscious direction. The results often have a sense of "dream logic" with layers of symbolism which I didn't consciously construct. Examining the painting in-depth helps me better understand my own creative process.
