𓏢 lyrics
i can see you standing, honey
with his arms around your body
laughin', but the joke's not funny at all
and it took you five whole minutes
to pack us up and leave me with it
holdin' all this love out here in the hall
i think i've seen this film before
and i didn't like the ending
you're not my homeland anymore
so what am i defending now?
you were my town, now i'm in exile, seein' you out
i think i've seen this film before
ooh, ooh, ooh
i can see you starin', honey
like he's just your understudy
like you'd get your knuckles bloody for me
second, third, and hundredth chances
balancin' on breaking branches
those eyes add insult to injury
i think i've seen this film before
and i didn't like the ending
i'm not your problem anymore
so who am i offending now?
you were my crown, now i'm in exile, seein' you out
i think i've seen this film before
so i'm leaving out the side door
so step right out, there is no amount
of crying i can do for you
all this time
we always walked a very thin line
you didn't even hear me out (you didn't even hear me out)
you never gave a warning sign (i gave so many signs)
all this time
i never learned to read your mind (never learned to read my mind)
i couldn't turn things around (you never turned things around)
'cause you never gave a warning sign (i gave so many signs)
so many signs, so many signs
you didn't even see the signs
i think i've seen this film before
and i didn't like the ending
you're not my homeland anymore
so what am i defending now?
you were my town, now i'm in exile, seein' you out
i think i've seen this film before
so i'm leavin' out the side door
so step right out, there is no amount
of crying i can do for you
all this time
we always walked a very thin line
you didn't even hear me out (didn't even hear me out)
you never gave a warning sign (i gave so many signs)
all this time
i never learned to read your mind (never learned to read my mind)
i couldn't turn things around (you never turned things around)
'cause you never gave a warning sign (i gave so many signs)
you never gave a warning sign (all this time)
(so many times) i never learned to read your mind
(so many signs) i couldn't turn things around (i couldn't turn things around)
'cause you never gave a warning sign (you never gave a warning sign)
you never gave a warning sign
ah, ah

"I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending" always makes me cry Idek why
facts all of folklore makes me cry and idk why i don’t relate to it at all idk it just gives me that feeling and i kinda love it
That line really resinates with me as it reminds me of my bestfriend two years ago when I watched her get back into a relationship with her boyfriend, the same boyfriend who physically abused her. It felt like I was just watching the same thing happen again and it broke my heart.
100 🤭
Same! 100%
YOU NEVER A WARNING SIGN
( I GAVE SO MANY SIGNS )
ALL THIS TIMEE
I NEVER LEARNED TO READ YOU'RE MIND
(NEVER LEARNED TO READ YOUR MIND)
It remindes me of Cardan and Jude from The Folk of Air series by Holly Black, it fits so perfectly for them. It's just so amazing, it always brings me to tears. I love it! ❤⚔️ Especially, it's just sooo The Wicked King vibe!

1:31
It reminds me of friendships, when you suddenly lose the person that you would feel really comfortable around bc they've just switched you for somebody more exciting.
Lmao just described my life
i really wanna know in this perspective who was right and bc of who they had to walk a very thin line... was that one sided?
Nice 👍🏽
I'm gonna die cuz I eat this poison
4; 8 best part
But 4:08 is when the song ends.
