That sounds like great advice to control your reaction and give a response insted from a state of peace and wisdom. But just removing yourself and not giving any response can work so tricky when there are false accusations against yourself and your removal can cost you much then you can pay. Then your silence can be interpreted as a confirmation of wrong accusations. Especially from when is coming from low educated ,evil and so manipulative people that effortlessly can twist your words and act of silence in their favor... Sounds as good and bad advice at the same time . Perhaps it's needs some specification and definitely a strong response in some cases coming from a powerful state of mind when there is need instead just removing yourself as the guilty person caught in the crime . Not reaction,but a solid response to a major satanic attack is definitely what needs to be done in some significant cases.

It has taken me till my 50’s to learn this very valuable lesson. Life is much calmer and peaceful now. Our tongues are our worst enemy at times and I have lost people because I lacked self control. I have accepted this and understand why this came about but I am so grateful to God for not giving up on me and continuing to drive this lesson into my heart. I no longer feel exhausted but full of light and love. Thank you for another chance at being reminded of how much this has changed my life.
I just turned 60 three weeks ago. It seems that we never stop learning I recently put my foot in my own mouth again with somebody that I actually do respect. Sometimes going against the grain in which we were raised in and have known our entire lives is such a challenge to undo.
Well I’ve been called by Our Father and she introduced me to his word and his wisdom but after that I prayed to him asking for a sign if she the one and he gave me millions that she’s not but I overlooked them because they wasn’t the one I wanted so year later which is now found out she’s been cheating the whole relationship and I did evil for evil which I later found out that’s not Godly or righteous so she broke up with me because I prayed to him to remove the lust feeling and the things that’s keeping me away from him and now he got me isolated to grow closer to him as we speak and all this just happened literally within a year

I had severe burnout 3 yrs ago. Its taken 3yrs to get well, all through the constant reactions to all the intense problems in lots of things. Shouting, going on and on about the circumstances , anger. Trying to justify ect ect. So yes everything this man says is right. I've learned a hard lesson to retain peace within. This is so true! Since a young age, I've always been a quiet individual but there had been times I let anger and rage build up and then I would snap. This was emotional immaturity which led to bad consequences. But now that I have based my life on scripture, my silence confounds people. Those same people back off and I am at peace. It's by God's grace and the protection of his angels that situations meant to harm me, dissipate. It takes work, daily. It's not always easy to be calm and step away, but the rewards of not giving control to toxicity are well worth it!
I feel when I am doing this to my husband, who can go on for hours, that I am being rude. Saying scriptures and prayers during this silent time, has helped me focus and feel better as I am going through.
The marriage is always a tricky one sister. Im also learning the same thing. We are always taught to communicate but im realizing that doesn't always help. There is a place to be still and wait for the Lord to either give wisdom or to convict but a dangerous misconception is to think that someone doesn't know what they are doing.

I have disengaged and unsubscribed from nearly all evangelical forums here on UA-cam for obvious reasons relating to this year's election. It was necessary for my peace of mind (Psalm 34:14) It's my time to pursue peace. And I also took Romans 12:18 to heart.

I have been a Christian now for 57 years and am in some of the most trying times of my life. I am an American living in Africa bringing the message of God to Kenya. The hard times I have gone through here are tremendous from persecution to death. My days are often consumed with VERY HARD times. But I have to say, I have been learning a lesson from God in a deeper way than I ever have before. I have always just cut people off but now the Lord tells me to Love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me! This is not an easy thing for the flesh but when I humble and lay it down before the Lord and pray for my enemies, for their salvation and blessings, then the burden is lifted from me in such a deep way. I am seeing more of the heart of Jesus by praying for them and His love grows in my heart for all those around me. May God continue to help me to die to myself.

This is really timely for me. I listen to a lot of TV preachers. As soon as politics comes into the message, I'm done with them. Also preachers who twist the word of God to suit themselves.

I have been a Christian now for 57 years and am in some of the most trying times of my life. I am an American living in Africa bringing the message of God to Kenya. The hard times I have gone through here are tremendous from persecution to death. My days are often consumed with VERY HARD times. But I have to say, I have been learning a lesson from God in a deeper way than I ever have before. I have always just cut people off but now the Lord tells me to Love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me! This is not an easy thing for the flesh but when I humble and lay it down before the Lord and pray for my enemies, for their salvation and blessings, then the burden is lifted from me in such a deep way. I am seeing more of the heart of Jesus by praying for them and His love grows in my heart for all those around me. May God continue to help me to die to myself.

I decided yesterday that I'm better than this and I didn't hv to beg someone for time and respect. So I decided to move on in silence and i will never allow this again for someone to control my emotions. He's upset tonight because I changed my number and did not give it to him. He tried to provoke me on this decision but I can't express enough the times I needed him and would call and he won't respond even in text. lack of consideration cause me great grievance and angry. But we all know the holy spirit does not respond in contingencies and I want to be with God and surrounded by him know that when you decide to be silent they get angry and try to get even not knowing this is not a game it's growth and I'm proud and honored God revealed that I needed to grow in this area. I will not allow this in my life from anyone.

I have tested this and God showed me that I don’t have to be defensive. My husband now tells me I’m soft and let people walk all over me. When actually I don’t feel the need to say anything at times because only God matters.
