Hi Marco. I love you buddy. Thank you very much for everything. You are awesome and amazing
@caporal pistachio please no spoilers
Also, never apologize for crying at these episodes. I’m current in season 15 but watching this with you, I’m crying right with you. Still one of the best finales 10 yrs later
I'm watching the day after the official finale of the entire show. Season 15. Watching this gave me such feels.
Yep. My list goes S5, then S11, then S3, then S2, then S9.
According to IMDb it is the best rated episode
This week is determent to traumatize Supernatural fans from every angle
Right?
Reliving Swan Song just before the series finale like the universe hates us fjfjf
Marco just finished season 5, Dakara Jayne is finishing season 11, and those of us who are caught up are about to finish the series as a whole......fuck.
@@stevenalexander6713
Yup, only about two and a half days left from the time I published this comment.
And we are...
swan song is one of the most heartbreaking things i've ever seen. dean throughout the show has fought tooth and nail for his family and ends up alone knowing sam's suffering but deciding to honour him the best way he can by going to lisa and ben and having a normal life. sam has always wanted freedom and independence, away from his destiny and with control of himself and what he's been given, but ends up sacrificing himself and condemning himself to eternal captivity and torture.
Chuck's vanishing is something that fans argued about for years.
Personally I think it was obvious, but then I suppose anyone who was right would assume that it was obvious. I don't recall how long after this episode the show creators publicly spoke about the scene.
@@Soulsphere001 I know Rob B. spoke about what he was told when he did the scene very shortly after the episode aired. I was lucky enough to attend that con.
I guessed the truth the moment he disappeared, maybe I was just lucky? The monologue he was doing made sense if he was, like how would he know about the car?
I still don’t understand how anyone could say “Oh He’s God!” As if it was obvious. FYI I’ve watched the show since the first night it aired and haven’t stopped. But it still bothers me, mainly because I don’t understand why he would ever pose as a novelist, then a prophet act oblivious to everything, etc etc AT THE TIME this episode aired. Does it make sense NOW? Yes, because they’ve put in a lot of work in explaining it in later seasons. But at the time of this episode, I just assumed he disappeared and went to heaven because his time serving God as a prophet was now complete considering they stopped the apocalypse. If I remember correctly, that actually fits in to what happens in the actual bible itself.
It was clear cut to me
Yes, Sam saying Yes to Lucifer in Detroit was mentioned in the future that Dean saw as well from Lucifer himself to Sam in Abandon All Hope.
Never apologize for getting emotional about this show. We’ve been there. We feel you. And yes, this week will kill our fandom with emotions...
I grew up in Lawrence & Stull Cemetery was a place we’d all meet at to get high, back at in the 70’s & 80’s.
Sam's return scene was inserted when they decided to renew it after the episode had been filmed.
Only 10 seasons to go.
It'll be interesting to see how you deal with season 6 & 7 under new showrunner Sera Gamble.
Fans will know what I mean by that.
Yupppp 6 and 7 weren’t the best…
l dont know WHY some fans didnt like season 7. l thought it was awesome. only one episode l didnt like, and THAT was only because of what happened to Bobby. l dont do spoilers, but l also know the host here is upto Season 9, and knows what l mean lol
Don’t apologize on the sniffling and crying, i bet 99% of us here was even more ugly sobbing like me on this episode 😭😭😭
If this episode HAD been the series finale, one of the only changes would have been no scene with Sam at the end. Bastard was going to leave Sam in Hell!
Actually more than that. The scene with Sam wouldnt of been added. but ALSO Bobby and Cas wouldnt of been brought back to life either. it would of ended with Dean kneeling over Sams final resting place.
@Jeff Stacy actually I heard that had it ended originally as planned, there was going to be a post credits scene that shows Sam about to face down Hell and prepare for eternal torment/torture, but then a light shines on him and he looks to it and Chuck appears smiling (and Sam immediately realizes who he is)and he says "Come with me, Sam. I've got a better ending in mind for you" and it ends with Chuck taking Sam to Heaven.
This episode hurt my heart. Never mind what other people say, if they thought the show was too long, they should have stopped watching. The following seasons have up and down episodes but the continuation of the story and the people they meet along the way will keep you hooked.
exactly how i feel about it
and overall it's one of the best tv shows I've ever seen
@@moatef1586 same
Season 6 is my least favorite season, (not a fan of the Gamble era as a whole) but it has my favorite episode of the entire show (6x20). People just romanticize the Kripke era too much, but it had a lot of problems too
@@judgehangman season 14 is my favorite finale. People had issues when new characters were introduced, they had that mindset that it should be just the boys, and that Kripke could do no wrong. Both wrong
@@judgehangman
I actually really liked season six, for the most part. They did, perhaps, take too long to get into the main plot though, but I really enjoyed the mystery.
I forget how awesome it is to hear Castiel says "HEY, ASSBUTT." in this episode.
This brings me back to emotions I experienced when I watched this episode for the 1st time😢
Don’t worry, we all “needed a minute” at that part lol
perfect end? I don't know about that, Sam wasn't supposed to be back from Hell in the original thought. They filmed him back from Hell after they decided to continue the show. And Dean leading normal life without his brother? I wonder how that'd go. Imo this would've been such a gloomy ending to the show if it was the end. Well, maybe it would've been perfect, but certainly sad. Dean without his brother. With family, sure. Maybe. And Sam rotting in the cage with Lucifer for eternity... idk man :D But I too am happy they decided to continue SPN, it gave us some really good seasons, some not so great, undeniably. But as mentioned by others, the show became to mean so much for so many people and the actors developed beautiful life-long friendships and they grew together with the fandom as people, too. While 15 seasons is a lot, I am happy it didn't end here.
Not really spoilers but hints
It was far more of a perfect end than the one we actually got lmao
@@gryotharian Depends on POV. For me the finale was beautiful and fulfilling.
I loved Lucifer's "fiddle of gold" line to Sam as he accepts Sam's challenge.
Don’t apologize for your feelings!! That’s what makes Supernatural so very special. We all cried (believe me) at this episode. The next season has some great episodes and some so so. Just keep watching. It’s worth it.
If this did stay the series finale it's important to note, Cass, Bobby, and Sam wouldnt have came back at all. So if you compare this to the new series finale keep that in mind
This still would've been a perfect ending, especially if they stayed dead
Actually, Cas was. In a way. I’m the original ending, Cas was supposed to be revealed as God.
@@dianamarango9157 Just out of curiosity, do you have a source on that? I've never heard that, even at conventions when fans asked the cast about how this episode would have been different.
@@dianamarango9157 yeah I dont think thats true, Cas was actually supposed to die even earlier but fans liked him
@@dianamarango9157 That' just isn't true. Chuck's character wouldn't make sense with that. Also Cass was originally supposed to die around the time Uriel did.
i cried during the commercial break when dean was all alone😭 and I actually thought it was over. the flash back scene is iconic
And that's a wrap for Supernatural! That was an amazing show wasn't it?
lol its not over yet... still got 10 more seasons of this
This is still my favorite episode of the entire series. Just the heartbreak watching it is something I'll never forget. I will say that I still really loved watching the show through season 11. I can't say the same from season 12 on. I love the characters and actors too much not to finish the series as I've been watching from the beginning, and there are a few episodes that are gems even when I'm not enjoying the story arc. Can't wait to see how the series concludes on Thursday, and can't wait to see your reactions to season 6!
This is the best episode of the show
warning.
Season 6 and 7 are pretty rough but please don't give up on the show.
It gets better 💖
"This feels not good." But in the best possible way.
What a pleasure to watch your reaction to Swan Song only a few days before the series finale airs! A few words of advice: Always have tissues on hand for Supernatural finales, as they tend to wrench your heart. Seasons 6 and 7 can seem a little weak, following after this as they do, but they also have some of the finest episodes of the series in them, so please persevere. Love your reactions!
Supernatural in a nutshell, no one truly dies without being brought back.
That last scene was added after they dicded to continue. Originally it would end with Dean going to Lisa, Sam wasn't supouse to be back.
Now, is on you to continue the show, S6 is my fav season followed by S5 and S4. Then, as other coments said, Supernatural had Ups and Down from now on.
As far as I'm concerned, this IS the best finale of a series. The fact that they acknowledged that someone will always be unhappy about the loose ends etc. makes it difficult to complain about the loose ends! And what's there is satisfying, not a cop out, not a "happily ever after" either that always sound a little fake. Perfect.
Supernatural had still a lot of good stories to tell, so I'm glad that Swan Song was not a real series finale, but It makes me wonder how/if they could have an ending as good as this one for season 15. Not long to wait to know!
And now, we know.
"WHAT?!" - The mating cry of the Supernatural fan.
hahaha underrated comment
You’re watching the end of what was supposed to be the last episode 10 years ago while we’re watching the actual series finale during the same week only it’s no more episodes for us! 😭😭😭😭
You’re soooo lucky bro! 😞
I always liked to believe God let the sun shine and reflect on the car. Yes this was painfully beautiful. Definitely one of the best series finaly episodes. S8, 10 and 12 are also so so good for me and I can't decide my favourite. Fuck 9,almost forgot about it. That one was wild too. I'm speaking emotional impacts. Rest are more plot twist/shock
I also thing lucifer watched those memories of Sam amd dean and a little part of him wished him and his brother were like that and that gave enough leverage to sam to get control again
Technically this was suppose to be the finale but the fanbase was so strong they decided to continue.
I recommend marathoning through season 6 when you start it. Many fans disliked it when it first aired but it became a favorite once people re-watched in on Netflix.
I still hate that season. LOL
I binged season 6 and 7 over 4 days cause I didn't like them that much especially 7.
@@TheEmeraldSnowflake It's so weird most people i know hate 7 much worse than 6 but not for me. 7 wasn't great, but I just can't stand season 6 with the exception of like 3 or so episodes.
@@BatmanFanGirl Season 7 is the closest I ever got to skipping an episode. For one Cas is my favourite so I think barley having him in that season has a lot to do with it. I also just think they missed a good opportunity with leviathan Cas. The overall writing was pretty bad as well but there were definitely a few good episodes in there. I really liked the one with the cursed ballet shoes. :)
@@TheEmeraldSnowflake I think I hated season 6 so much because it didn't seem to know what it was doing. There was Sam's arch, then Castiel and the angels, then raising you know who then the orginals... It was all over the place. A hot mess tbh.
This episode made me ugly cry when I first watched it and even now, after rewatching multiple times, I still get teary eyed
lol that ending scene gets me everytime. even when i think im used to, it's just like "nope, you're going to cry"
I hope you will continue watching Supernatural yes this was the best ark of supernatural but there are still some amazing seasons storylines and characters to come that you will love this show has 15 seasons and most loyal fans for a reason
I’m the only one who would have hated this finale if it was the real one? I mean Sam deserve so much more than to end like this ! I’m happy they continued the show and loved the seasons after :)
Best Season Finale ever! I know a lot of people hate the later seasons, but I really enjoy them. I actually really like S6 and S7, unlike a lot of people. I enjoy it. People don't have to keep watching, but some people enjoy. It kinda upsets me how many people I see saying that they should've just stopped here, because even with the later seasons, you can stop here. But if they hadn't continued, we wouldn't be able to go and watch the later ones. :)
This pepople can quit watching the show. It's so simple!
I enjoyed the next 10 seasons a lot!
@@morlandalamaga5899 exactly. No one is forcing them to keep watching. But there are people who enjoyed the later seasons and it’d be unfair on them if the show had just stopped. (Plus, I bet they’re the people getting annoyed by the fact that they continued are the same people who’d be super upset if it had ended here... 🤷♀️😂)
This season finale is one of my favourite but I also love ending of season 8. Btw season 6 is also quite good I am looking forward to your reaction a lot:)
I waited so long for this reaction... And now I feel guilty... You suffered so much... 😭
Great reaction aniway, I trully hope you keep going with the show. I can understand editing reactions to every single episode is a lot of work. I'd love you to comment after watching several episodes or whenever any episode blew your mind.
I send yo a big hug. I'm so grateful for your reactions... I loved re_watching the show throug your eyes!
*Marco starts crying in the first scene with the impala* same. me 10 years ago not being able to deal.
"i need a minute" oh, trust me. we all needed it. the whole summer hiatus wasnt enough of a minute to process this pain
the fact that if this actually was the end, only dean would have survived...there, gut punches everywhere
ps. what about adam huh??!! some love to my poor kid who got trapped too!!
ps2:how are you back?. because season 6, homeboy
I can never.. Never go through this eposide 💔💔 this is the series finally for the first 5 seasons.. U can actually stop here.
The rest of the series has most of the best eposides.. The best finales too.. True emotions.. Brotherhood and love so i am not regretting they kept running this show..it is not the same yes i agree but still very enjoyable..the next season 6 and 7 aren't the best but the real new supernatural starts with season 8 to 15 ♥️
season 6 gets better when you marathon it. The story they wanted to tell was pretty complicated and watching it when it aired made most fans miss on hints throughout the season. Season 7 has some great episodes, but I still rank it as the worst season despite so many re-watches. The pacing was just awful that season.
@@mparantha exaclty ♥️ but to me season 6 was a bit slow but had such enjoyable eposides.. Season 7 yes.. I can't with it 😂
I think of season 6 like I do season 4 of Buffy- some amazing stand alone episodes- some of the best in the entire show, but the arc was just too messy.
I agree. I remember thinking they should've ended it with season 5 back when 6 and 7 were airing, but I'm glad I stuck around because I'm one of the people that was actually pleased with the show's finale, and I enjoyed 15 years of one hell of a ride. Zero regrets.
What an episode. The acting is world class, and shows what this low budget show can accomplish. Brilliance.
It was really nice to watch your reactions! This is the best finale of the entire show :"")
Ohhhh I remember the feeling watching this 🤦🏻♀️
There are good stuff and good arcs in the subsequent 10 seasons, but this was the show's peak. Ending here would have had it go down as probably the greatest genre show of all time. I actually think of this as the end and everything after as an expanded universe.
Someone at the convention said that since this was supposed to be the end but it went on for ten more seasons. They asked who made the deal. Lol
Thanks for doing this reaction! It is my favorite episode of Supernatural of all time.👍
my boy is traumatized
Yeah, a reaction from Marco 💚 Then I read "Swan Song" - nope, not in tthe mood this week 😭
Nothing ever stays dead on supernatural
I almost wish they just ended it here, sometimes. Taken the clip of Sam back out. It's the best finale of Supernatural. Doesn't get much better than this.
I would tell anyone that is starting the show to stop watching the last about minute of this episode and treat it like the series finale. The later seasons have some good stuff in there too but nothing even comes close to the first five.
OMG, I absolutely love your reaction! Can't wait for the next season
How can you not love Sam 🥺🥺🥺🥺 my baby saved the world ♥️♥️♥️
this finale is amazing, don't apologize for crying because i've seen seen it plenty of times and it still always gets me. especially this week, which is just emotional and hard for any spn fan.
Fun Fact about this episode. l know you know this was meant to be the Shows TRUE end. but what you might not know if that scene at the end with Sam standing outside Lisa's house Watching Dean was ONLY added into the show when season 6 was confirmed. lf Season 6 didnt happen, then that scene with Sam standing outside would never of been added into the show. and would of ended with Sam in Lucifers Cage.
I was ready to see something old and comforting and then carry on played I just rolled and started crying again. But yeah season 5 finaly is great
-What are they gonna do now?
-Oh you have no idea 😏.
And you're right that's a perfect finally cuz as you already know the show was meant to be just 5 seasons, but imagine if it was really the finally Sam was gone Boby and Cas were dead... So no no glad they continued the show.
Don't worry the next seasons have their ups and downs but it's worth it so please keep watching it we love your reactions.
And definitely you're in for a treat.
How the show is able to shatter a viewer emotionally is one of the things which makes it so freaking brilliant, I swear.
Also, had to add, that my favorite words to shout while watching Supernatural is "Damn you show!" or "This goddamn show!' or a wordless shout of "Aargh!" but, you know... with love. That's SPN.
I remember being so devastated and on tenterhooks which I had to wait 3 months for more. Standing from the viewpoint of being 15 seasons in, I can say that I'm fervently glad that the show kept going. I sure wouldn't have been able to rewatch the show as much afterwards as I have if it had ended it at Season 5. I'd be too heart-broken, especially if the original ending of Sam staying in hell had been kept. No, just no. Could not handle that level of devastation after 5 years of cheering Sam and Dean on. I couldn't.
Pretty much I hope you also enjoy the next seasons to come too.
While the plot does get weaker from here on out, there really are some wonderful monster of the week and character studies in the coming seasons and I would encourage you to continue with the series at least until Season 6.
I personally stopped after 11, but that was for personal reasons and not necessarily reflective of a decline in the program's quality.
Basically, you'll be looking forward to filler/breather episodes rather than the plot centric ones
I've seen the show before yet I have so many questions about the ending of this finale lmaoo
ABSOLUTE LOVED THE REACTION BRO!!! 10/10!!!
Your reaction was absolutely priceless 🥰
I felt so vindicated when chuck came back as god because nobody believed my theory, all my friends said he disappeared because his job was done or he was an angel.
It really annoys me when people crap on the later seasons. Especially because those later seasons really mean something to people and have allowed Jared, Jensen, Misha, and a bunch of other cast members to start really beautiful and sometimes life changing charities. People really connect with this show because despite some really crappy episodes, one thing never changes and it's the relationship between those two boys. At the core this is a show about family, the ones we're born into and the ones we choose. It's well worth the watch.
But tbh, the actual ending in 15X19 isn´t a good one. They had not the time to write a good last season.
@@senker1544 that's your opinion. I happened to like that episode. 🤷🏻♀️
@@sarcasmxkate Its fine to enjoy season 15. But its undeniably worse writing. Upon creation of a story a writer should have an ending in mind. If the writing goes past that ending it will become poorer writing by definition. At this point the writers are 10 years past the original ending. The amount of inconstancies both in plot devices and messaging of the show are immense.
@@senker1544 I haven't even watched it yet because I've been over all super disappointed with the whole last season.
@@hamsterfromabove8905 y'all can try changing my mind, but it isn't going to happen. I never said the later seasons don't have flaws, they absolutely do, but I love this show despite them. It's very rare for your lead actors, 15 seasons in, to come to every episode and season giving 110%. There's a real appreciation and respect this show has given to its viewers that many other shows don't do. So, yes, there has been lackluster writing and seasons/episodes I don't love, but this show is bigger than that to me. So trying to tell me how shitty this last season has been, isn't going to phase me. I love this show for what it is, has been, and will be. I don't think it's perfect, but I don't care. 🤷🏻♀️

Some advice: Lower your expectations with the next season. Lower them further with each coming season.
Dont worry about getting emotional, i know i did with this show. one of my fav. season finale. I know people are going to bombard u now with what to expect from here on out with the other seasons, but my own 2 cents, just be your own judge. Me personally, from here till the actual end, it has its ups and downs from season to season, but it wasnt wasted time by any means.
Loved your reaction!!!
Yeah, this was supposed to be the series finale, which is pretty obvious. I think the show flounders for the next couple of seasons as it tries to figure out where it wants to go. That's not to say there aren't some great episodes in there, but overall it's a bit "meh" for a while.
Now I can't wait for your reaction on the series finale..It's only been hours but I'm missing the show already..
Very interesting to compare this "original ending" with the show's real ending that's happening this week/last week
"Hey Assbutt" still the best insult ever.
Haha Im smiling so hard her. I feel like Im smiling as the devil here 🤣 because Ive watched this since it aired, for more than 15 years ago and Ive watched every season at least twice.
This would NOT be a good end (in my opinion) and Im so happy that it didnt end there! The next seasons has its up and downs and honestly.. I call it Supernatural vol 2 or something. Its like.. Supernatural old style is season 1-5 and then we have supernatural 6-15 whos on an another level..
I personally like the old style of Supernatural best, but its also some AMAZING episodes/seasons in the next ones... And you seriously have ten seasons left to watch! Its a long road, my friend! 😅 But I can promise you, its totally Worth it!!!!
We all cry when we see that chapter for the first time 😭😭
What an amazing reaction!😭😭🥰🥰💜💜💜
Just brutally sitting here waiting for the series finale!
It honestly feels like a piece of me is dying! This has been my favorite show for so long & I do certain things because of it like listen & jam out to classic rock songs on drums & have started eating fried eggs on my back. Cheeseburgers & drinking whiskey sometimes when I go out! Also hearing a song that has been in an episode thanks to my eidetic memory I always think of the scene it was in & get a chuckle! Or with something like when the lights flicker in my house I instantly want to go for the salt! 😂😂😂😂 it’s the little things like those is why I will miss this show!
I will kids looking forward to a new episode every week & it’s one of the few show left that I still can do that with! 😞
Also worried about you after that last reaction because that is going to be me tonight!
I’m soooo stoned right now cuz I can’t go into this sober! 😂😂
If they decided to end the show here then Cas, Sam and Bobby would've stayed dead. Only Dean's ending would've stayed the same. And honestly, as phenomenal as this season and this episode was, knowing what happens in the following seasons, fhe storylines established and the character developments, trust me you'll be glad they didn't end it here. Most importantly, they do a fantastic job of justifying why their story couldn't just end here (which right now seems impossible but just wait)
Oh trust me, this was the right decision.
This was actually gonna be the series finale before they found out the show is gonna be renewed. That's crazyy! Haha
This was actually supposed to be a Series Finale, they never expected it to go past 5 season's hence the name "Swan Song"
Then they got picked up for Season 6
Great reaction. I just wish you did it in 2 parts but still loved it
Great reaction
Some seasons are really good from here in out, some are really bad, (looking at you season seven) but this is the best season final in all of Supernatural.
Season 7 ain’t really bad, but there’s like a few episodes nearing the end that aren’t the best.
@@youngeeneden1594 Nearing the end it picks up, the first half was brutal.
@@kylereese5841 season 7 is overhated it still felt like supernatural but season 12 is complete garbage and doesn't feel like the show at all
@@pillowboy7995 Season 12 feels alright, but atleast it's story isn't lame and drags on. I liked season 7 at first but in the ten times I've rewatched the show, it's definitely the worst in my opinion.
It‘s almost as if people like different things about this show and so they like different seasons/episodes based on that taste...
Here we are baby! X
"I'm not sure that continuing with the show was a whise idea." Yeah, about that...
If the show would have ended right here, the fandom would have been the best friends with Merlin fandom..Merlin's ending broke us and years after the finale the fandom is still alive. Imagine if SPN would ended like this?
I think this serves as a great goodbye to Kripke, the showrunner at the time. However, their stories are far from over at this point. The best seasons are yet to come for you, and I'm so excited to rewatch along with you!!
Nope. Brothers journey ends here. Swan Song is the canon ending of SPN, and the rest is technically official fanfiction.
I don't recommend you watch this show any more.
You know, now I remembered my feelings after watching this finale. After all those years since its release. In season 4, I've started to be disappointed in Sam with all the lies, demon blood, more lies and poor decisions. Steadily was loosing my respect for him. Half of the 5th season wasn't a fan of him too..But the last episodes and the finale..I've cried so much for him. For all the pain and suffering he had to endure. How he only wanted to be free and live a simple life, but made a decision to sacrifice himself, yes for the world, but mostly for his big brother. That just broke me
My honest opinion is that yes, the first five seasons are INSANE GOOD and they're totally some of my favorite seasons, but I'm SO GLAD they decided to keep this show running
I can't even start telling you how many new character's you're gonna meet and fall even more in love with this history because of them, so many great episodes, scenes, character's and arc's to come!! Can't wait to see you starting this new chapter of this amazing journey 💞
I always said it should have ended at season 5 back in the day. It would have been an amazing end. I'm only up to season 13 as I kind of stopped watching for a bit. It's quite funny you watching this today when tomorrow is the VERY last episode airing in the USA. I need to avoid spoilers like crazy! Every time I see something I'm like 'no, no, no, turn it off!' haha
The Best episóde of the show
The actual ending that was planned before they decided to keep the show going was just Dean eating dinner with Lisa and Ben through the window. In my opinion, if it had ended there, it would’ve been a near-flawless 5 seasons of television.
But don’t get me wrong, I am super happy they kept going - there are stellar episodes in all of the seasons to come, perhaps just not as many “full seasons” that are amazing like these early ones. Season 6 I’d say is the last truly great season (although most people disagree with me, I’m sure and would say it’s season 5).
This is the real ending to the series
It was the perfect end.
This was one of the best season finale but It wouldn't be a good end of the show because you can see and feel all the sadness, pain on Dean, he lost his parents but Sam was the most important person for him and he wouldn't be really happy with Lisa
Season 6 is very underrated but in my opinion MUCH better then season 7
"Oh God"
