It's ridiculous and backwards to ask the champ to wait for the readiness of a contender.
The mooslim fighters need to understand that not everyone is going to wait to fight on an Abu Dhabi card.
Hope this is gonna end up like Jiri's rematch with King Mo.
I love Jiri, but might be too soon for him. However, Jiri seems to not care about the pain from those leg kicks and actually had Pereira on to the fence with strikes. Plus had decent ground and pound. However, Pereira power is insane
You can not care all you want but his leg gave out multiple times and so did his body when he got hit with 13 elbows
having pereira on the fence was the worst for jiri and led to his demise
@@ramonsalazar32 yeah because all of his funky unpredictable movement goes out the window now he’s in a “whoever lands the first big combo” match bad matchup when Alex is on the other side. But I am backing Jiri to get the title shot over ankalaev lol
@@ramonsalazar32jiri actually had pereira flinching and missing a couple shots before he got KO’d 😂 jiri had most success against the fence, it was in the middle where jiri had most trouble because of the leg kicks
It's the worst matchup for Jiri in the whole division.
Jiri ate so many punches in only 2 rounds against Rakic. He would get KOed like 5 times if it was against Pereira fighting like that.
Not saying he should change his game, but it's just a terrible matchup for his fighting style.

I want to see Alex on the ground a lot more. He trains so much he has to be great there as well.
Its hard to be great when starting so late but I do believe he is probably better than most people would think after being with Glover so long.

No disrespect to the Muslim culture but i don’t think the ufc liked the fact the fighters were turning down fights for Ramadan when they were offered title fights for 300. Like Dana said “ you get that opportunity you better take it”
There was an interview with Magomed where he said he would fight at 300, he was not offered the fight, not all the Muslim fighters stop fighting during Ramadan

ok since you think ankalaev is the type of fighter to be ready lets check out the calender again.
so ankalaev fought anthony smith in 2022 then fought jan in december 2022 to a draw which he cried and moaned about and said he was gonna quit the sport (as ultimate fighters do) . after that lets have a look.
his next fight is october 2023 so almost a year later which was a no contest 1 round fight. then they didnt rematch until january this year which he managed to win in 2 rounds. and then now hes saying he wont be ready until august.... what kind of fighter are we talking about here again? does he even deserve a title shot? he fights less than 2 times a year and drew with jan within his last 3 fights.

I am not saying ank is not a whiner/crybaby, but he deserves a title shot more than jiri, who not just only recently fought for the title but also got koed by the champ. I think it's highly likely if the ufc offers ank a title shot in September (ufc 306) that he would take it but you never know lol
