#RajBabbar (born 23 June 1952) is an Indian Hindi and Punjabi #FilmActor and #politician belonging to #IndianNationalCongress. three-time member of the #LokSabha and a two-time member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament. He was the President of #UttarPradeshCongressCommittee.
He trained in the Method school of acting at #NSD, which is involved in #StreetTheatre. After his training in New Delhi, he moved to Mumbai and started his film career with #ReenaRoy, one of the well known actresses of that time. He gained notoriety for his horrific portrayal of a ra_pist in the movie Insaaf Ka Taraazu, in which he assaulted the heroine #ZeenatAman, and later her sister, and in the end, is shot and killed by the heroine.
Raj had admitted that he was replaced by Amitabh in the 1982 film Shakti, which also starred his future wife Smita Patil. That same year, he was replaced by Shashi Kapoor in Namak Halal, which also starred both Amitabh and Smita.

राज बब्बर एक अच्छे और दमदार अभिनेता जरूर हैं, लेकिन अमिताभ बच्चन के अभिनय क्षमता और विद्वत्ता बहुत ही उम्दा है। अमिताभ बच्चन को किस्मत का और दर्शकों का साथ भी मिला था, कहानीकार और डायलॉग लिखनेवाले अमितजी के लिए खासकर लिखते थे। अच्छे डॉयलाग, अच्छे स्क्रिप्ट, अच्छे निर्देशक, अच्छे संगीतकार, सर्वोपरि किशोरकुमार का शानदार आवाज़ ने अमिताभ बच्चन को इतना बड़ा अभिनेता बनाया है, जो कि राज बब्बर के साथ नहीं था। दोनों में तुलना करना बेकार है। राज बब्बर बहुत अच्छे अभिनेता होने के बावजूद अमिताभ बच्चन के क्वालिटी से बहुत दूर ही रहेंगे भले ही अमितजी बेहद स्वार्थी अभिनेता रह चूके हैं जिन्होंने दूसरों के रोल पर कैंची चलवाई है।

SRK once told that RAJ BABBAR is one of the finest actor of our country. He might not have been accepted as a leading hero, but he has done different types of character roles sucessfully. But it is unfair for him to be compared with AMITABH BACCHAN. I also do not support his statement that AMITABH BACCHAN was sucessful only because of SALIM JAVED. SALIM JAVED did played a great role though their script but even today AMITABH BACCHAN is hugely sucessful as an actor without SALIM JAVED. SALIM JAVED wrote script for many actors but they were not kable to achieve sucess like AMITABH BACCHAN. But I like the way RAJ BABBAR told the hard truth about B.J.P.

@@aproudhinduindian7412 he was not a B grade actor. He has his own style of acting. His take towards portraying any character was not as excellent as it was in the case of Dilip kumar sahab, Balraj Sahni and Amitabh ji. Still, he was very good in negative characters.

This person is trying to compare his devillish, horrific character of the rapist in 'Insaaf ..' with Vijay Verma? So ridiculous. Vijay Verma's character was that of ultimate hero - a massiah who can live and die for poor people. Compare that with the villain that this guy played. Actually Babbar was short of money, and did whatever role came his way. Along with him, late B.R. Chopra is also the culprit to have copied the trashy movie 'Lipstick' scene-by-scene, incl. the most infamous scenes of cruel assaults in the movie, and showing them to the Indian audience. Censor board was embarrased to have cleared such scenes. Taking lessons from that, the censor promptly cut similar cruel scenes in B.R. Chopra's next movie 'Aaj ki Awaaz'.
