I often save about four or five of your videos so I can bing watch them on my day off I've got five to watch today and I'm so excited ..thank you for being you.
@@WhatVivididnext I was gonna say, that one would disappear in one sitting in our house... extremely easily. I bet this is good cold too? With a salad?
2024 and I’ve made this twice now! It’s sooo delicious . Thank you! And the cabbage pie too is delicious 🤤 I’ve eaten more vegetables and no meat thanks to your recipes. Never thought I could say this, but I don’t crave for meat these days since trying out your recipes. From the bean spreads to soups.
We will definitely be doing this. We have some filo in the freezer; Greek filo bargain reduced to only ten pence! I got four packs. 😊 When you said it could stretch to four Richard said "I don't think so!" 😂 Oh wow. You've just cut a portion. Yes, it is inviting and a sight to comfort!!! Great recipe! Thank you! And by the way... our nuts are always too cold in the fridge! 🤣😃😆
Yum....wonderful that so much came from your garden. I hope to be getting food from my garden this next year. Actually planted onions last minute today to round out a particular recipe. My goal is to have at least one meal this next year entirely from the garden. You get me going big time. Thank you.
Oh this will be perfect for you....just make a shortcrust pastry with wholemeal flour or other digestible flour of choice. I haven't tried making pastry with rice or chickpea flour......I should give it a go. :-)
Vivi...been watching from the beginning...look forward to each and every one...they just get better!!! Only thing green in our frozen area is a bunch of parsley in a sunny spot!! Got an email yesterday my first seed order is on it's way....lovely recipe, another one to try! Best to you!
I'm planning my winter garden and kale is for sure on the list to get planted this week. I will for sure make this when I get my first kale harvest. Looks yummy. thanks for the recipe!
Hello Vivi, I hope you left me a big portion. I think your pie tasted as good as it looked. I would love to grow cabbage, but my garden is just too small. Well. It has been very cold here for some days and we have permafrost. I think over the years we've all forgotten what the temperatures should be like in a real winter. It is nice when something delicious and warming is on the table. Big hug and best regards Claudia
Thank you lovely.....I had the left overs this evening (sorry!) and thoroughly enjoyed them having got frozen to the bone waiting for an age for a bus to get me home this afternoon. I do love a warm, hearty pie on a cold day. :-)
I'm going to have to make this for myself😄 Another inspiring video💟 I find the best part of being vegan for me is how much fun I have in the kitchen experimenting🐉
i usually destem the big leaf stuff, such as the kale, and chop the stem. I cook them first w garlic and a bit of oil for something like 10min. Taste every 5 min or so until they are almost tender. THEN I add in the leaves. Cauliflower and kohlrabi stems are some of the tenderest. Their non-leaf stems I love to eat raw.
Hi Vivi. I have also have recently started following your channel and getting caught up on your older videos. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe 😊. I still have loads of kale in my winter garden and this recipe looks delicious. For health reasons I need to eat a more low fat plant based diet so your recipes are perfect ☺️
Yay, thank you so much Roberta...and welcome! This is such a lovely thing to make....and can be made extra special (for Christmas for example) by making it as a Wellington rather than in the pie dish. Have fun experimenting with it. :-)
I reckon spinach would work too......my spinach never lasts into the winter though......hmmmm, maybe I need to add a winter type spinach to my seed order! ;-)
Oooh, thank you, me too. It was the second most expensive thing I bought for the flat (after the boiler) but I'm so glad I did - it has stood up to some real hard work and bashings. :-)
This looks yummy 😋 clever girl! Do have a few friends that are vegans and I’m always looking for good food to treat them with. Sure I’ll try it with some blu cheese for hubby and me too.
Don't mind the party poopers Vivi, they are everywhere. Ya, grain ain't what it used to be but, hey, Asian people have been living on rice for THOUSANDS of years and they are the skinniest, oldest people on the planet! ;-) That said... I'M going to make this for dinner on Saturday and "balls to the naysayers" I say! Bless you Vivi! Love ya! Cheers from snowy Canada!! xoxo
Just joined your channel and so much of how you live your life is so very similar to mine - a bit of kale left in the garden so this will be on the menu this week- thank you so much for sharing the recipe - my mushrooms are ones that I picked and already cooked and froze so all I need is the puff pastry so that is one my shopping list😌
Looks great! I love watching you cook. We were just talking about the lacinato kale last night. I have some frozen out in the garden that we haven't gotten to taste yet! Supposedly it holds up best to grilling (is that just a US thing?)
Oh my word.....you must be melting! It must be getting to dangerous heat for folk who have to work outside....I can hardly imagine it. I hope you're all safely basking under the air con unit!
There is an upside to the heat. The beautiful Leo got to splash in the sea and also has regular paddles on the back deck in his paddling pool. as you can imagine water ends up every where but he is in a state of bliss @@WhatVivididnext
Oh the joy of splashing in water! I can just imagine his bliss. In last summer's heat I so wished I lived near the sea....... Happy splashing little fella. :-)
During my search for more cauliflower leaf recipes 🤣 I just came across this one, as well. Since your cabbage pie was so delicious, I'm sure I'm going to try this as well. However, the reason I'm commenting: To save on tin foil (money and environment) when there's danger of burning we've started putting the pies on the rack toward the the bottom of the oven and then the empty baking sheet higher up... If you have both a rack and a sheet, that might work for you as well.
What are you doing to me?!?! I’m watching this in bed in the knowledge that I’m fasting tomorrow (I’m on the 5:2 diet). This is torture! (But definitely a recipe to be added to my collection for future reference 😋)
