Great Job!
Yeah! As I recall, shop time is 8 hours to replace a clutch on an MGB with overdrive...I think time can be shaved by 4 hours by dropping the front suspension
Thanks, just did another one for a Utub fans in MI need to work on the video and post it
after pulling my engine, I realized that re-installing the engine was much easier to install it through the bottom rather than the top...it is only 4 through bolts to wheel the front suspension plus 1 bolt on rack and pinion!....While the front suspension is out, You can inspect much closer while your playing with engine, clutch or whatever...just a simple shortcut
Im glad it worked well for you, but seems to be more work since you dont have to remove anything to pull it out the top, good luck with your project.
which Rustoleum paint did you use?
Awesome video. Are you a mechanic by trade?
Do you have any vids on how to change the drivers side engine mount? The steering shaft goes right through the engine mount. So looking to see how to change the mount.
+SvntyStang Hi. Saw your comment about changing engine mounts. I just changed both sides and had to pull the steering rack out, yes, split the tie rod ends to remove it completely. Still a very difficult job to start the 9/16 nut.
No Im to dumb, I just enjoy playing with them. If you get stuck on somthing give me a call
877 268-5230 I see if I can help. Dont get in a hurry enjoy the fun
Hello there, I see that you are striping the engine. This is very strange to me, I don`t know why anyone would stripe an engine. I myself have STRIPPED mgb engines in my youth but this striping is new to me. All the best from England, home of good education.
Cmon, Limey. Dont be an asshole.
Showing what you were doing would have been useful.
Do you restore for others?
I retired from the Army, and now do on the side
