    Vyacheslav Uladzimirovich Kuznetsov (Belarusian: Вячаслаў Уладзіміравіч Кузняцо́ў; June 15, 1955 , Vienna) is a Belarusian composer. He is a member of the Belarusian Union of Composers (1985). He is an honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.
    In 1983, he graduated from the Belarusian Conservatory.
    In 1983-1987, he worked as the head of the musical department of the State Puppet Theater of Belarus, and, since 1987, a teacher at the Belarusian Academy of Music (since 1996 - associate professor, since 1998 - head of the department)
    He is the author of the opera "Notes of a Madman" based on M.Gogal (1987), the ballets "12 Chairs" based on I.Ilf and Ya. Petrov (1983), "Polanese" (1994), "Tsar Solomon" (1998), "Macbeth" (2000) based on V.Shakespeare, music for the performances "The Ballad of the White Cherry" by S. Klimkovich (1984), "Little Red Riding Hood" by J. Shvarts (1986) in the puppet theater; to the radio production "Kublitsky and Zablotsky" (screenplay by V. Karnyazhytskaya, 1991).
    Vyacheslav Kuznetsov created a whole gallery of sound images of Belarus , which are organically connected with folk song traditions. These are choral and vocal works "Village Holidays", "Women's Songs", "Ladachki", "Belarusian Wedding", "Songs of Palessia and Dnieper", "Hatyn Birches", "Songs of the Oldest People", "Quiet Songs", "Lullabies".
    Fascination with folklore was also reflected in orchestral music. The composer brilliantly possesses all the tools of the orchestral palette. These are bright, bright plays "Zhaleyka", "Polesse", "Why don't I sing", "Karagod", "Svirastelki", "Spring entertainment", "Belarusian dances" and others.
    On September 5, 2013, the premiere of the ballet "Vytaut" took place on the stage of the National Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet (choreographer Y. Troyan, conductor V. Volich), the music for which was written by Kuznetsov. In 2015, the team of the National Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet for the first time received the award of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For spiritual revival" for the embodiment of national-historical themes in the theater's performances and the staging of the national ballet "Vytaut". "Vytaut" won in four nominations at the third national theater art competition "National Theater Award".
    On October 30, 2018, on the stage of the National Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet, to the wonderful music of Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, the legend of Joan of Arc of White Russia - Anastasia Slutskaya - came to life. The ballet "Anastasia" was staged by the People's Artist of Belarus Yury Troyan.
