Yep, I agreed with it. GM says to trust their OCI lights, but every one I had the carbon sensor goes bad and sometimes it will tell you that you need to give it an oil change 500 miles into the previous one (and, yes, I do reset them properly), and sometimes it won't tell you that you need it at all. So I just stuck to my regular, changing the oil at around the 5,000 mile mark and called it good. Part of the reason why I like how Subaru's handle maintenance. You just program how far out you want the intervals to be and it keeps track of the mileage and/or months.
It makes me think that these things were made to be put together, not taken apart. It's way less therapeutic to disassemble them while avoiding breaking them.

Fantastic video! You do some excellent work and your videos educate and entertain. That Terrain turned out great!
Listen brother, i love your videos, i love your work and i would buy a rebuilt vehicle from you if i needed one...but it really takes no time to clean stuff before putting it back together. Its already off. Just spray it off, wipe it dry and boom its clean. Thats my only gripe. I hate dirty cars. Ive bought and fixed and sold cars for 14 years...i always sell super clean vehicles, yet i always get vehicles i have to clean myself... but cleaning a car is so satisfying and i truly enjoy it. If i was closer to Chicago, I'd come clean all that stuff for you.
I also change my oil every 2-3k miles. Always have always will. Manufacturers don't care about your car or engine or even you!
Absolutely brilliant, I watch your videos from the 🇬🇧
Damn, how I enjoy this gentleman's fine sarcasm, not to mention that this, like the others, is a good video.
looks brand new Scott. Great video. Anxious for the next one. Have a great weekend.
