    I initially felt mid-bass slam was lacking... until I played this music. OMG.
    Make sure to use good headphones with this recording. Apple earpods are not capable of renderingl the energy of the lower bass.

      Do you by any chance have in-room measurements from REW? Ofc, much of what would should would be the room acoustics, but it would still be interesting to see.

    Thanks for this, I listened with my IEMs and I could really get a sense of what these speakers are capable of. These are now my grail speakers. Buchardt make some awesome products it seems.

    This is just getting better and better...
    I'm constantly being reminded I'll be making the right choice going with the A700s and Primare SC15 Hub 🤙🏻

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому

      That SC15 is in my radar too. I wonder if it already has the roon certification.

      @@NoStereoNoLife I am not sure...but what would be interesting to see...is how it compares (transmission and output) to the WISA-hub being provided by Buchardt. By means of features and extra options - it blows the Buchardt-provided hub right out of the water.

      The sc15hub doesn’t enable the room correction to work right?

      Have you compare a700 with a500 before?

  • @jngiam
    @jngiam 3 роки тому +3

    Amazinggg...!! By the way, interested to know why you went for the A700 instead of the A500 considering that you mentioned your room size is on the smaller side. Care to share? Im going to get the buchardts but i am really torn between the A500 and A700. I am trying to find a justification to myself if the A700 is worth the extra $$, or if they are an overkill (my living room is about 900 sqft)

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому +3

      My room is just 13x20ft but opens up to the dining room on the side and hallway and stairs behind with high ceilings. So I went with A700 to better fill. If you factor savings from buying $3k+ amplification, I think that should justify the price for A700.

    I was hoping you would demo this track from your previous video. Can only imagine the sound in person. So far would you say it is worth $7k?

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому +3

      Yes the sound in front of the speaker is startling. The recording does not reveal the imaging and soundstage. You can almost feel the air as the stick strikes the drum. $7k worth it? I think so, considering I was planning to get B&W804 and good amp -that would have cost me $10k plus.

    Wow that was AWESOME! I could hear that cough on my HiFi BTW. And I did not realize my Triangle Bro 3 speakers could play that low. I would expect my Buchardt S300's to handle that, but these surprised me. I think they have about the same extension as the 300's, despite the very different specs. Just goes to show you I guess. Can't swear by the specs in my experience.
    What kind of mic, or mics are you using? It sounded great. Like the drummer was in my room. And I was getting a really interesting sound stage. It was like I could see the minute little movements the drummer was making. Very interesting. Dead center image too. Just above the speakers. ✌️

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому

      Awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience. The music scales well on speaker since the drum starts at mid-bass down to sub-bass. There's that extension down to sub 20hz that you definitely feel in front of the speaker.
      I'm using Shure MV88. It does have limitations on recording soundstage and imaging (I guess only binaural mics do that :) Funny my kid said the same thing "Dad, it sounds like they're here!"

    • @amb3cog

      It was seriously about the most realistic thing I've heard on my system. You know what I noticed though. It seemed to have a big room feel, and one that was very live too. Like it was recorded in a gymnasium, or something like that. Maybe that's why it seemed real. Most recordings are done in a heavily damped studio, or a live venue. But then they're all played with afterwards.
      The next closest thing I can think of that sounded real was the Dead and Company live shows. And those are like straight to UA-cam with no post processing work either. Maybe that's it? It's just a lot closer to what we normally hear in real life. And not all gussied up. That probably means the phase, and all that stuff hasn't been changed around either. I'm sure it is in a studio recording normally. Even if they try not to. It's bound to happen when you're doing serious manipulations like they do.
      Then again. WTF do I know? 🤣🤣🤣
      Thanks for the video. I'm definitely going to play it again in the future. Like as soon as the Buchardts go back in my system for instance. I'm real curious to hear Buchardts through Buchardts just for fun. 😊 ✌️

    Sounds good. My only concern is, what to do if one of the amps inside break. Do you have to send them back to Buchardt? Garantee 2 years? What after?

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому +6

      Mads Buchardt answered the same concern in their fb - "All our speakers are specifically designed to be extremely easy to fix yourself should any part break. All you need is a screwdriver, and we cover you under warranty with our guide on how to do it. So we basically just ship you replacement parts both in and out of warranty should it be needed"

    What App are you using for sound meter?

    • @NoStereoNoLife
      @NoStereoNoLife  3 роки тому +1

      It's the "Decibel: dB sound level meter" not as responsive as REW but good enough for simple tasks.
