Ray Mears 2/4 best adventure

My favorite Ray Mears adventure. Shows how to make a cooking log for winter use. He makes skis from a log, makes resin to treat the skis using a gasifier, which he inturn trades the coal made in the gasifier to a black smith for a knife blade then while sking he makes a handle for his knife. Hands down the best episode. ENJOY!

Where I'm from in Louisiana, we've been using the old roots of Pines called "Rich Lighter Pine" as a fire lighter since I can remember. We would collect it every year as we were collecting fire wood in the forest around our farm, and land.. works every time rain or shine..
