Then you would need to remove wall material as needed, then connect new fixture to your lead wire- or if it is too short- add an extension wire onto your available lead wire- they make end to end crimp wire connectors for this application.
@@OutdoorInspirations Yeah the lead wire is under the wall caps threaded through the paver stones. Removing those makes this much more challenging I'd imagine.
Is there any other options of lights for outdoor fire pit area or outdoor kitchen like this besides these with wires? I dont want to pull any wires through. Thank you
There might be but not that we are aware of. Traditionally, these types of capstone lights are hardwired. That way there is a reliable source of power and can be controlled via a transformer. The only alternative to wired is solar or battery powered which would be pretty hard in these types of locations. Thanks for the question!
@@sharynlynmorgenstern9594 if you have that type, there are certain fixture models which do use replaceable led lamps which make for easy replacement. Other models make a replaceable light bar that snaps in. But other models like in this video do not have any replaceable components hence needing to replace the entire fixture. Hope that helps
@@OutdoorInspirations yes it does. We bought a house with these, all burnt out, & I wasn’t even going to try to do anything with them but now I’ll at least do some work to see if they are replaceable Thanks !
Thank you brudda!
exactly what I was looking for.
Good deal 💪 thanks Michael
Awesome job Skeets!
What if your wiring is in the retaining wall rather than behind it?

@@Brianp150Hdefinitely challenging hidden in masonry like that, a mason could make quick work of that for you i am sure

If there is a column post with an existing lantern, is it easy to remove the lantern and add hardscape lights under the stone cap instead?
This is a tricky one- depends on scenario. Post lamps typically are 120V so a new 12/2 low-volt wire would need to be ran.
Can I just replace the light bulbs ?
