Amar'e was truly a SCORING machine. Ppl forget how GREAT he was due to his injury history & my hometown PHX AZ is not as lavish as some of the other teams. But in his prime he could do it all. Shoot & dunk on ur head savagely!
@@thechoosenone4827 He could shoot, man. Especially later in his career post knee surgeries. He would pop all the time for a 17/20 footer
@@ShadomanG u no nothing about basketball bro, he was very athletic, why u think he mess his knees up
@@thechoosenone4827 Wth are you talking about? You’re the ignorant idiot that can’t even spell. The word is “KNOW.” I am from Arizona born & bred, watched STAT his entire career. He blew his knee out year two. From that point on he developed a jump shot. He could pick & pop as well as roll & dive/dunk to the basket. Don’t act like you know what you’re talking about. Just another teenager or 20 year old kid typing as if you’re adroit in basketball history. Go somewhere w/that
If it weren't for injuries amare would have absolutely made the HOF
Ravens Fan there are a lot of players that were 5-6 times all stars and had very short primes that won't make the hall of fame. Doubt he will make it but it's possible
I think they just put him in the hall of fame as an honorable mention or something.Just because he was nice. Him and brandon roy. They were most def some of the goats
If he didn't injured, he would be the top 10 power forward of all time on my list and top 3 in 2000s
Both were great but, when you look at the score, that's why Spurs were so good, their defense and teamwork. The suns had no chance, even with all the talent they had. Now, watching a Suns game was more entertaining of course than a Spurs game but, Spurs have been an amazing basket-ball school.
Stoudemire > Dwight Howard
Hell no. Prime dwight>>> amare. He made it to the finals without a player like nash. Amare wasn't even the best player on his team. Amare had no D while dwight won dpoy back to back times
@@kylemonsterdrywallfistbump5948 Howard was in the east. Notheless, still a great player.
@@HJ-ne1gx the only player that beat LeBron without a super team in the east put some respect on his name
2 stand up guys in the NBA. both will be missed.
I have a old picture of me as a kid and this game was on the TV in the background
The NBA was so much better back then. Better players, better competition.
I think the competition is there but the terrible refs and no physicalty is ruining it
There's absolutely NO competition in the East, & the West is in the hands of 1.5 teams (the Spurs & Rockets split the .5)... add the terrible refs & the pussification on top of all of that, then you'll get back to my original comment.
For sure, the current NBA sucks. Superteams, selfies, ridiculous outfits, primadonnas trying to build their "brand" on Instagram and social media. What ever happened to real MEN playing ball?
better than golden-cavs in the finals
amare on boing vert
derrick wade Yep with 5 Rings... if Duncan played for the Lakers nobody would call him boring.
Suns was a complete team back then..passer shooter low post player slasher in their starting 5..sadly thay dont have enough good bench players to support their cast and also they dont have pop..
Spurs owned phoenix back in these days.
TXPRIDE817 they did, but man was 2010 the biggest shocker when the Suns swept the Spurs only to run into a hot Kobe Bryant!!! I miss these Suns!!!
Jayson Blackhair It actually was not too much of a shocker. Alvin Gentry once was an assistant of coach Pop. So he knew Pop's game, much like the Warriors knocking off the Mavs in 07 because Don Nelson created that Mavs team
Except from 2007-2010 when it was the other way around. Only reason spurs won in 2007 was because of the BS suspensions on amare and diaw because of that dirty ass Robert horry hip checking Nash into the podiums
Growing up a suns fan in the 2005-2012 era was depressing. The Spurs and Mavs always beat us but we did squeak past the Lakers a couple times
2:34 Amare really excels in the pick and roll... nice screen using your opponent
Mid 2000s NBA was the absolute best!
Stat would be a nightmare in today's NBA. These young players are soft around the rim. Fierce defender and even today he is still a beast.
One of my favorite players!!
Timmy the best 👍👍👍
Man i came here from the Chris Webber 51 points video. If STAT and C-Webb didn't have microfracture surgery....(same with Greg Oden)
Amar'e had the potential...
Rg Sneaks they had Marion at sf. And amare was already playing center for them.
tico suave I know dat guess I was biased.ive always wanted a pg pf combo to win the chip.cp and Blake ain't goin nowhere
1:52 Damn!!! Stoudemire Dominating
The good ole days. If it's wasn't for the spurs, the suns team would've play for a championship or 2.
Tim Duncan was actually tough, competing with a young Hungry, athletic Stoudemire
During his short prime, he was one of the best, if not the best guy at his size.
During those days, SAS, PHX and DAL are the scariest teams in the nba... During 2006-2007
good sportsmanship at the end
Amar'e was a MONSTER in his PRIME
The Suns just didn't have the size to deal with Duncan.
Feels like russell vs wilt with the same result
1:53 damn nigga put all my mans business out there
They both have legendary Guard
Good job Timmy
Suns were good in the early 2000s but my Spurs were just on another level
What a prime
7:42 never see this anymore
Is duncan 7ft? Or is it amare too? I taught amare was 6'10
Man, you could tell how badly he wanted to make it to the Finals.
Rigged for the spurs. Phoenix was clearly the better team. Illegal screens allowed bullshit charges and bullshit fouls for Duncan. Amare was better than Duncan too
Ah I miss the NBA back then. It was so much better than. I think ima go cry now. Lol
That was Mike Dantoni's Phx teams. All offense no defense! Nash was the worst defender in the league.
Stoudemire-Nash > Malone-Stockton
SlashGordan tell that to Stockton and Malones finals appearance and multiple nba records
EveryDayIsAGoodDay if you attribute any of these playstyles to that spurs and that suns team you havent watched them. but you would probably also tell me that the 96 bulls would 4-0 gsw so there is really no point in arguing
Duncan's is the only player who won championships in 3 decades.. it will take time for another player to accomplish that..
amare should thank Steve Nash
***** Gtfoh.. go check Amare numbers the first year he left Nash....Nash fell off right after... So did Phoenix..
SDS Overfiend So did amare become an all star and made it to the playoffs after leaving the suns? Nope, cause he got no Steve Nash anymore.
***** You mad Bruh? You going off on a tangent about the fucking Knicks for what? Man carry yo mad ass the fuck on...
Joshua Chu Yes he did in his defense and he made the playoffs twice iirc... both first round exits
WTF my nigga Tyson say at 3:12
The Suns just couldn't beat the Spurs back then
We just never had defense, that’s what prevented us from reaching the finals!!
Manu hairy hairy
+VintageDawkins, in desc has 'PG'. ;)
Mike D’antoni was the reason suns couldn’t win
Overall Timmy d won this great battle verse amare.
Battle of the big men is the best
HE WAS BETTER THAN DUNCAN THIS SERIES
邓肯最后告诉阿马尔:“未来是你的”
Amar'e acabando com a vida do ginobili
Why all the teams in the 2000s era not guarding duncan properly the hell? If they guarding him having a hard time damn idk if duncan is an all time great. But maybe he still is an all time great but not as great he was now
amare can score on face ups but in the post duncans defense too good.
Leave it to NY to sign Amare..
And go no where..
AMARE WAS CURSED JUST LIKE THE CITY OF PHOENIX WHY HE NEVER WON ANYTHING!
I don't normally talk about the refs but come on
the good days before Lebron fucked the culture up with super teams
yeah do you even watch basketball? tf are you saying nigga? have you heard of boston '08?
Y'all don't remember the Showtime Lakers and the late 90s Bulls teams? How about Kobe Shaq in the 2000s I think those were super teams too
Chris Lujan Well players like Kareem, Byron Scott, Kurt Rambis and Mychal Thompson weren't drafted by LA. And Ron Harper, Steve Kerr, Dennis Roddman, Luck Longley, Toni Kukoc, and Bill Wennington were not drafted by the Bulls.
why stoudemire never played like this for the knicks
He did the first year or two until Melo came along and he started getting hurt
Jose Semino he was the favorite for mvp the first few months of the 11 season
Jose Semino he did in his first season, then proceeded to get injured several times
He got knee injury in his second season in NBA which has changed his game forever. His explosive style and quickness are just not the same. Otherwise, he would be the best PF.
amare was all hype just like the suns who will never win a title!
If change Stoudemire to Kevin garnett, Suns will win the game.
Man, the NBA has some really good young big men but I don't think they can compare to Amare and Duncan in their primes. Perhaps Anthony Davis will be able to in time.
ParaditeRs Yeah, but AD is too injury prone and isn't gonna win a ring as long as he's with the pelicans
The refs wouldn't allow that post play in today's game. Too rough they say
Steve Nash made Amare look good, what happened when Amare departed from Nash? He didn't do diddley squat. Duncan miles and miles and miles an miles over Stoudemire.
first
Duncan's overrated
No he's not. He's got, what? 4 rings? He's just not a flashy player, that's why people don't give him his props.
I've still never seen anyone score on Duncan the way Amare did
Shaquille o'neal
King Phil lol I know right
@True Ogre tim duncan did much better than kg everytime they played each other do your research you dumbtwat
@True Ogre oh yeah btw your beloved kevin garnett not only not as good as tim duncan, and he is also a suicidal psychopath and a bully
@True Ogre karl malone? You meant the rapist? Good choice on whom you choose to like, they really represent who you are as a person :)
