For those wondering: The shape and size of the Ears DO NOT Matter. Human Brains LEARN. Even if you have snubs, cauliflower or other types or ears, or even deformities, the human brain calibrates the sound inputs and triangulates the location based on the reflections.

I've known this to be true since I learned 10 years ago that people who have lost their ear lobes due to serious fire burns lose their sense of audio direction.
The multipath delay times caused by these folds are extremely short, shorter than the corresponding wavelength, wavelengths that most (older) people cannot hear. This why time domain is so important in audio playback
Deaf people with cochlear implants experience the same thing. As a deaf person, it’s really difficult for me to identify where sounds are coming from 😅 So I challenge you to help deaf people with cochlear implants locate the direction of sound!

This is actually the theory of why dogs tilt their heads. Their ears aren't rigid so the tilting helps triangulate in 3 dimensions.
Actually this is true for any beings, humans as well. When you try to hear something, you tilt and rotate your head.
