I therefore bind one to desire to glorify God in all one is, does and has while binding to hell every lack of desire to glorify God in all one is, does and has in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents, the children I teach and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone lacking desire to glorify God in all one is, does and has, in accordance with this word and genesis 1:26-28, 1 corinthians 11, 1 corinthians 3:9, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!
I agree we are to Glorify God in the sense that we imitate and "show" Him, but I also believe we Glorify God by Magnifying Him, that is seeing, savoring and enjoying Him, and showing to others His "Worth".
realizing we are NOT GOD and recognizing what GOD has done if truly understood the elect will GLORIFY> its just what we do cause HE is worthy. As we lift HIM up those whom he has chosen will be lifted up and he will drag them to HIMSELF... We were made for Holiness.
I love this man, one of my favorites. I do want to say though that Eve was not part of the naming of the animals. That took place just before her creation. She was created because after Adam found no companion, God made Eve. Genesis 2:18-23 KJVS [18] And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. [19] And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. [20] And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. [21] And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. This is not a rebuke, I don’t think for a second this error was made intentionally. It is an error though and error must be corrected.
Sometimes preaching involves anecdotes around actual Bible stories to bring home a lesson not necessarily that he is saying that is what the Bible says. Indeed when you know your Bible like you appear to then you can appreciate better the imagery he is trying to create to drive home a lesson which is focused on the glory of God.
Mankind the crowning act of creation, the image of God! The purpose of our creation doesnt rest in tue 6day but on the 7day, where God rested and made holy the seventh day...Man is meant to go into the seventh day and be holy! The seven day is his perfection! He doesn't creat us to shine his glory but also to represent his sovereignty infront of the creation!
I really liked the 3 legged stool of God - truth, goodness and beauty and that we are to reflect those qualities. So, when we go to church, dressed like we are going to the beach, does that reflect the beauty of God? When we are slovenly, in our home, yard and appearance, we do not reflect the beauty of God. Of course, some jobs will get you messy, but to embrace messiness is another thing. Interesting.....our culture has embraced ugliness as you see what people have done to themselves.
