My childhood! I was obsessed with these books! It was my only chance to go to boarding school 😄 Enid made it seem like the best thing ever. Nonsense, but when you're a kid... My poor, poor parents had a lot of patience with my pleading. To be fair, I read basically every Enid Blyton book, and my mother had too, so she understood where it was coming from. I also wanted to make a secret club that solved mysteries the police couldn't work out. 😅 Wonderful narrator too. Thank you for uploading these❤
😉I actually DID go to boarding school... for one semester when I was 16. I loathed it! Well, not so much until all the COMPETENT & nice staff and teachers left and some really totally incompetent, obnoxious, and perverted jerks took their places. The last straw for me was when the HUSBAND of the Girls' Dorm "supervisor" (the school was coed) informed all the other girls and me that we were to be punished for an infraction of the rules by him pulling down our pants and whipping our bare asses! I stood up, looked him straight in the eye and said "You will NOT! At least not to ME!" and I turned around and walked straight into the school office where the only phone was located (that students were only supposed to be allowed to use once a week on Sunday afternoons and only if they had received no "demerits" in the week before) and despite his objection (yelling at me to put the phone down) and attempts to grab the phone I managed to call my father. I said only four words "Come get me, NOW!" and heard him say "I'm on my way!" before the phone was wrenched away and slammed down. I managed to dodge and get to my room and lock my door (for good measure I put a chair under the knob too) and packed up my things. My Daddy must have broken every speed limit getting there (normally a 2 hour drive) because he was there to get me in just over an hour. We were out on the highway before I told him exactly what the man had threatened to do, and he was so mad I almost wasn't able to stop him from going back but I was afraid of what he'd do if he did. I didn't want him to end up going to jail!.
This is so similar to Mallory Towers (also a Enid Blyton series). The missing money, the school play, the one odd girl out, girls wandering off and missing out on an exciting "group event". Delightful stories, but a little disappointing with the very similar stories. Love Enid Blytons writing, but this really was a bit of a bummer. 😔 P.S. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, KEEP THEM COMING!!!❤
Love these reminds me of my high school days I to went to a all girls academy in New York we were not borders as these girls are we had nuns. Ugh 1:26:10 😊
as a 7-9 year old i remember reading all these and loving them. im coming back after almost 30 years..reminds me of a simpler times.
