But they don't sell on Amazon, therefore the video creator can't put up affiliate links and earn commission that way. VKB and Virpil will wipe the floor with those shitty devices.
I haven't touched a joystick in over a decade - I think I had an old logitech wingman. I just retired and built a really nice gaming PC. This video is my starting point to getting back into gaming and flight sims.
I’m about to start my journey on my first gaming PC build . Any recommendations on how to get started ? I just want the best money can buy including the monitor.
I saw a video that said you shouldn't try to lift the whole unit by the handle, because it is held on by a small amount of plastic, and the base is heavy and sticky.
@@cryora They had used the wrong screws to install the stick into the base. It was explained in a later video. Had mine for 3 years now. If put together properly there is no issue.
The cheap logitecs, thrustmasters, saiteks all crap out in a month or two. The minimum you want to look at right now is the VKB gladiator. Far superior to any stick mentioned in this video. For higher end sticks VKB, Virpil, Winwing, look at them all.
Any other suggestions? Looking to get a new flight stick, been out of it for like 10 years. Back then, Logitech products were pretty solid and i was happy with my X of the day. Heard they go for a pretty penny these days.
I used to own A10 warthog and Logitech X56.. after tweeking the warthog It was almost perfect joystick..X56...well throttle was great but the stick was made for someone with gigantic hands it wasn't very comfy to use in longer flights and it had issues with stickingness. I'm looking for something to get back to flight Sims after 4.5 years after selling my setups...
I have the Logitech X52 Pro and at first I loved it even though one of the buttons wasn't functioning (the mini mouse stick) but two weeks into using it and the stick is getting really wobbly like it's losing tension or resistance and at the same time it now goes from neutral roll to registering a maximum leftward roll with barely any force applied to the stick. Not only that, but without touching the stick it's now registering a maximum negative pitch input so I can't even take my hand off the stick for a second or I risk nose diving into the ground or having negative G's ripping my wings off. I'm pretty disappointed with it because it's extremely well designed ergonomically. I can use nearly every button on both it and the throttle without compromising my hand placement on the controls. It has the same issue that the X56 has in being too light that it's difficult to keep it from moving on the desk. I tried the X56 though and found the ergonomics to be poorly designed. I was hitting buttons when I didn't want to and not able to reach them when I needed to. I returned that HOTAS and tried the Thrustmaster F/A-18 Hornet stick but found it to be too large for my hands to really use comfortably and returned it as well. It's such a shame that the X52 Pro is falling apart weeks into owning it. I'd be it's number one supporter if it just worked like advertised. Pretty pathetic of Logitech to even sell this when it's such bad quality. I took a chance on it after looking at the reviews for it by hoping I'd get one that wasn't defective but turns out they're basically all defective. Save your time and money and get something else.
I went with the VKB Gladiator NXT and haven’t looked back. For anyone on the fence, it’s 1000x better than any Logitech offerings despite not having a separate throttle (the one on the base of the stick works fine). It’s at the same or *cheaper* price point as the Logitech options but I can’t overstate how much better it is in quality and function.
I’ve got a Thrustmaster TWCS throttle and NKV Gladiator NXT EVO joystick. They are both very good quality but they are a royal pain to setup in any game. Every time I think I have things right then something will totally screw up and not work. This happens with both devices and no games seems to be immune so far. Why can’t these things just plug and play????
The t16000m hotas has 1 downside, the z axis fails over time witch makes you roll when doing nothing. Then you have to unscrew the joystick evrytime to put alcohol on the connection then it goes great for months but then it starts over again.
The warthog stick has been completely overshadowed in price and quality by winwings orion 2. As it uses a much more robust and precise system on the stick and is generarely higher in quality.
I had two thrustmasters, one just screwed the pooch and the one they replaced it with did the same. They seemed all too prepared to replace it, won't be using their product again. Once a victim, twice a volunteer.
i wanted to buy the hotas x but i found reviews saying that the 16k feels better and is more precise BUT THEN i found more reviews saying that the hotas x is thrash and the 16k has a lot of failiures after some time of use and it has been failing more recently now
TM HOTAS ONE & 4 are better than X, they have less deadzone, flashable firmware and TM TFRP connector built in. I bought X wasn't happy, then bought a 4, happy still after 500 hours 🙂
I bought Dual T16000m's for a space flight game. Right stick has Z axis problems after 3 weeks of use and Left stick has pitch problem also. Sending them back and investing in VKB Gladiators. Don't waste your money on T16000M.
Strange, ive had my t16000m for almost a year and everything has been splendid and i have no complaints. Many people i know that have the set have no problem with it. It could be a issue of sticks being bought second hand as it is pretty popular.
According to Logitech tech support today, 6/2/23, their Extreme 3D Pro is an old product that can not be programmed with their gaming software on a Windows 11 PC. It can only be programmed on PC's running Win 7 though 10.
Hey so I'm not huge on pc but I know tech and games but my dad is in his 50s he used to have a game with a flight stick the game was like a WW2 dogfighter game I'm not sure the actual name this was when call of duty 4 first came out and PC games were still called "computer games " what my question is this.. is there a new game that you can dog fight with planes and use one of these flight sticks ?
If you are already making a video about the "Best Flight Sticks - Top 10 Best PC Joysticks in 2022" you should think outside the box (outside amazon) and not completely ignore the really best sticks from Winwing or Virpil.
For anyone coming back to this video or first watching it. The number 5 pick Thrustmaster T-Flight Hoyas X is perfect. If you’re truly not sure if you’re into flight sims just yet it’s the best pick. I have been using it for years and I love it. Nice grooves in it so you don’t have to set it on cords and has enough buttons on the joystick for most things. Try it out cuz if you don’t love flight sims you’re not too deep in the hole while getting to experience what it’s like. And if you love flight sims you can upgrade your joystick later on and have that as a back up that you can travel with or give to a pal.
put the plug and buy the trustmaster warthog throtle but the joystick is a big NO for me and with that i mean it is all plastic inside with cup mecha (comon we have 2023) and the same sensors you find on t16000m the cheapest model in line with hall sensors costing about 60 euros !!!!! im go with vkb evo here )))
Euhm never heard of virpil or wing wing, the trustmaster isn't updated for over 10 years it still has cheap plastic in the base. Don't buy the warthog it's outdated, go for wing wing or virpil.
Getting a replacement for my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. After 22 years of heavy use, finally died. The A-10 HOTAS seems to be number one candidate.
I realy recomend yoy look into the winwing orion 2. Compared to the warthog its much better. For the same price you get a much more robust stick sensor system and the throttle has multiple handle choices for your liking. The thrustmaster warthog realy is obsolite when orion 2 is on the market.
Do NOT buy the Thrustmaster T16000M (joystick).....everyone I know including myself have had it fail in the first 3 mo. of usage. We all replaced it with a VKB.

I love the A 10° Celsius warthog 1:13
Hahah why didnt more people catch up on this?
Vkb, winwing, virpil? For best value and for something that lasts vkb's nxt evo is the best choice.

soooo Virpil and VKB don't exist? Sorry, they both are better than anything you have on this video.
*combined.
But doesn't the VKB have the issue where you can't lift from the stick, because the base is so heavy and sticky than it could break?
@@cryora no, it'll separate from the base and you just have to do minor surgery to put back together.

Everyone knows the best joystick is VPforce Rhino. After that Vipril, Winwing, VKB. None of those is mentioned in the video which is shame.
