I think they just wanted to shorten the field for one final play. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it could have been OK if he had slid a few yards earlier and immediately turned to get the ball to the ref so they'd have time to spike.

@Jay See well, that may be true, but Dallas defence has matured as well this year, less penalties than the game last year and a better running game, if it can be implemented, so time of possession is going to be important. So just on that if the game is going to be clean I think it'll be more competitive. I'm under no illusions that the 49ers on paper are the better team but I think it's going to be close, even the betting spreads reflect that....

Played the 2nd half without Bosa, lost Warner late in the game. Those were huge losses and the 49ers still managed to win.

As a 49ers fan this game will stay with me a long time. Lost both Bosa and Warner and the defense did just enough to eliminate the potent cowboys offense from exploding. Hell of a game.

Seahawks fan here. Although the Seahawks and the 49ers are rivals. I respect the 49ers a great deal. They remind me a lot of the 2013, 2014, 2015 Seahawks. Every defensive player is a big name and should be on the pro bowl. The only difference is the scheme that Kyle Shanahan has put together is absolutely phenomenal. They have a third string quarterback look as impressive as he has and run that office as impressive as he has is just amazing. I’ll be rooting for the 49ers to go to the whole way . They deserve it. 49ers fans deserve it. Way too good of a franchise to have not won a Super Bowl since 1995. 49ers fans are great and loyal. Go get those Cowboys

I don't agree at all. The Cowboys played horribly for 45 out of the 60 minutes of regulation play but the 49's won't make it further in the playoffs playing the way they did here. Still, congrats to the 49'er fans for the W!
