Which cameo was your favorite? Btw I accidentally said Norihio died in 2002 instead of 2022. Also during the tally I said Nina had 11 scenes when it was 10, I forgot to adr that part.
I was happy to see the Akito crew most, since they finally made it to Japan but story wise I think Kaguya, Lelouch, Nina and either Gino or Cornelia(you don’t really need both) really served a purpose. There were some good ideas here and there but I think this series had a troubled development. Shown by the majority of the supporting cast being reused inferior archetypes from the original series. I did like the set up of our two leads(though some of the choices as the series went on weren’t great and squandered much of their good set up). Norland was more interesting than i expected despite the twist seeming silly when I had it spoiled. In a longer series with a smoother development I think it could have been much better (still inferior to the original but maybe closer to the other side stories quality). I think if the series continues, they should look at exploring parts of the world we haven’t seen before. Wish we could get a series adaptation of lost stories but that’s not likely at all haha
At first I gave all of these OG characters a slide for not solving the Neo-Britannia issue because MAYBE there was a bigger conflict they all had to resolve. Like Lelouch and CC, they were hunting down Geass fragments after Resurrection. There were probably still plenty even after eight years, and for all we know, there’s a Geass user so dangerous that the two had to rely on the OG characters in a secret operation to hunt that person down. Instead, they were truly enjoying the peace time and not batting an eye to the Neo-Britannia. The writers made them incompetent and lazy.
A new novel series called "Code Geass: Pure Almaria" (first 2 chapter) has been released and it takes place between Fukkatsu and Dakkan. Zerozaku and Gino had to deal with a mysterious KMF and its overpowered pilot who appeared in Kazakhstan. In short, yes, more serious problems than Hokkaido Island are perhaps showing themselves in many parts of the world.
@@saruwatarisafragment, maybe remaining geass user or place in movie resurrection they go to revive lelouch, but that just from my understanding, maybe wrong, sorry if wrong.
If all the cameos all at once target the Foulbout, it would ended up being some "Super Robot Wars" vibe, it is okay to at least one of the OG characters like Kallen could helped Ash and Sakuya to defeat Norland in a deadly blow...
actually it is, except its only canon to the movie version of code geass and not the tv show, kinda like how the original 1979 gundam had two timelines, the tv series and the movie trilogy timeline. Which if you think about it Gundam is a sunrise anime and so is code geass so its like gundam all over again, wait till like gundam they release another separate timeline called the origins or thunderbolt timeline like gundam where its a world of code geass but without the protagonists and main antagonists or a complete reboot of the timeline in a modern retelling which is what gundam the origins and thunderbolt was. I fear thats what they might do to code geass then again code geass is still just a series and not an entire franchise spanning over 50+ years so its probably unlikely, I think they are sticking with the two timelines for code geass, the original tv series timeline for the purist and the movie timeline for those who want more code geass in any form.
I think the problem I had with show was how the writers just go “ ahhh the sakes are really high! Let’s do a bunch of stuff to make the sakes really high!” . Especially during the last three episodes . There wasn’t enough slow pacing to let the world breathe and give time to the characters in the story . If it had more episodes that focused on small scales to build up the other characters rather than glossing over some of them. This is the issue with fast pacing. The conflict was let’s save MC’s best friend whom we barely got to see their interactions with the MC and depth of their relationship. There’s the defeat the evil faction for the good of the vague everyone that we barely got to see or care for. We could have gotten to see and feel the differences these characters made to more individuals if the show was longer.
I stopped watching Roze cause instead of being a follow through of the original it's basically trying to be a copy with different characters. They should have gave us an anime of lelouch and C2 hunting the fragments then came across a geass power within the God of the universe that throws them into the past. Lelouch chooses to fix his mistakes but continues with his original plan but saving people like Sherly which then would have tied in with her still being alive in the movie and Lelouche's punishment for changing parts of timeline and death itself was being imprisoned in C's world till he is freed by C2 and friends in the movie which would tie the new movie and anime together.
