PK's Johnny was so ahead of its time back then, hero ni perfect underdog laaga present cheseru. Movie lo fights ayithe vere level, aa movie work ayunte maybe PK would have tried some more like that.
PK's Johnny movie ( 2003) lo they had professional fighers in the action scenes in climax. The design set up .. cinematography, action choreography, sound design are way ahead of the time. At the time of release....1 st half screen play was so dull and sync sound dubbing in the filming was new to telugu commercial cinemas.. the audience lost the patience and also PK's lean look was disappointing to the general audience ...so did not give importance to the action scenes.. as the damage has already done due to slow paced screen play in first half . Why iam saying this now is Johnny movie had aesthetic set up for action scenes and filmed clinicaly which was way ahead of the time and present action scenes in some boxing / martial art movies have onle slow motion punches.
