What a name for a tool. I'm suprised this came out of team yellow and not either the blue Boys or the bright green, the two that like to pump out random tools
looks like Dewalt decided to license the technology and the name from Grabo. I checked and Stanley Black and Decker doesn't own the Grabo company. That's why we aren't seeing a Ryobi, Milwaukee, etc version of this tool, it's still a copyrighted design. Grabo makes a version of this tool themselves that doesn't use the Dewalt battery since 2019
I just saw one of these at Fabtech and can't wait to add a couple of them to my arsenal of tools. They will be especially useful with loading heavy material on the CNC in conjunction with the forklift. Based on the max horizontal lift specification, there is 22 sq in of surface area inside the seal of the unit. So at -5 psi you would have 110lbs of lift.
@@mdnghtwlf This would require the Grabo to have 50% more vacuum area than the Dewalt version. While I don't have measurements of the Dewalt, it did seem smaller than the 12 x 7 dimensions listed for the Grabo. It seems that Dewalt is going for a size that will fit on smaller items that can be lifted by one person. Another thing I like about the Dewalt is that it uses the 20v batteries. If the battery starts to fade in the middle of a job I can just swap it out rather than having to take the tool out-of-service to charge. This also means it doesn't matter how long it has been since its last use I can grab it, slap a battery in it and get to work.
Yes it will as long as they are relatively smooth. It has trouble with things like slate. I have a knockoff competitor. The real Grabo works better than mine, I'm sure.
I wonder if glaziers will see a use in this vs the traditional manual suction handle. Neat device for sure
I want to see someone dressed in all Dewalt colors and logos scale the side of a skyscraper with these.
Lol😂 they do that and I'll buy one
IF TOM CRUISE DOES IT NEXT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE
They better slap a 15 ah flexvolt battery in them for that runtime 😂
redneck Spiderman
Then the battery runs out😮
I’ve just got some of these to use for sheet roofing and cladding 👌

@kylefowler5082 I own 2 and I love them. Way more durable than you'd expect as well.
That's what I thought.. I am Heavily in the XR line of yellow but Homedepot last weekend had some cool Ryobi stuff
If I didn't leave the trades, I'd buy this asap

The Grabo branded version has a max lifting capacity of 375 lbs.

How will this work in outer space tho? 🧐
Doesn't work so good on mdf?
Actual MDF, it works pretty good. Particle board, it doesn't work.
Pulling dents from sheet metal?
Will it lift drywall? Or OSB?
Yes.
I'm in
The DeWALT lift-o-matic 2000. 😆
*The "Grabo" brand version of this suction lifting tool is superior, as it will lift 375 lbs. versus this DeWalt branded iteration of only 265 lbs.*
Load is one factor in the tools value. It's a reach to say that stat alone makes something better.
Dewalt battery doesn’t fall out like the GRABO does.
Hope they do a Milwaukee one too! Maybe I’ll get into DEWALT
Just buy the Dewalt and the $15 battery adapter so you can use your existing Milwaukee batteries.
Will it lift all pavers?
Yes it will as long as they are relatively smooth. It has trouble with things like slate. I have a knockoff competitor. The real Grabo works better than mine, I'm sure.
Window motor going out just lift with grabo 🤣🤣
They reached out to a tool company for a review and not a glass company? They are a tool company
Just get the grabo one, they at least give you a case
Damn i might sell my Grabo pro and get this

didn't lift the slabs I had .
Does not lift dry cast pavers
Seems time consuming
