If you have any questions and you think a local might know the answer, feel free to ask me. I'm here for you guys.
I live in Tehran, and if you get here and needed someone to help you arround, agian, i'm here for you guys. (I'm just a local)
For now i'm just going to go and watch your previous videos to see what you might have missed. Usually, tourists miss visiting museums, amusement parks, some nice parks etc.

Thank you John for your comment! Iran is super special 🤗 and we loved Shiraz. A 4x4 Sprintervan is a great choice, comfort and capabilities, would love to have one myself!

It is a good balanced choice, but a Defender is so much cooler, more off road capability and it has a huge community all over the world.

@@johnbancken2011 we cannot agree more 😃 And we love the LR community, is just the best!

Indeed! I would always recommend to visit Shiraz if you are in Iran. It is just stunning and the vibes are absolutely the best.
We enjoyed so much going around those Defenders and learning about all the differences with the ones we see in Europe. 😃

Hi guys ! Big fans here of your channel 👍🏼
We love watching your videos very much but it is also a big magnet towards the Landy-life you are living in most stunning and interesting parts of the world.
AND… very important… You are not the ✅ the boxes types but you let the land determine how long you stay. And that is definitely the pace we love as well.
But we have a question many giggle about but for us it is a hurdle that prevents us, especially my partner, from pulling the trigger on buying a Landy and set off into the sunset…
We follow several Overlanding channels on UA-cam but we haven’t seen any video that goes into this topic.
You probably have guessed already what this topic is… It’s about the toiletry side of life. Especially number two.
Do you stop at fuel stations ? At restaurants ? Do you have a special chair behind to sit behind a boulder ? Does it take long to get used to whatever routine you have ?
Does it often happen that the ‘need to go’ is a ‘no go’ because there is simply no opportunity ?
We would appreciate if you could elaborate about this topic and / or incorporate it into one of your videos ?
Thx and keep doing what you are doing ! Even though the number of followers is ridiculously low compared to other MUCH less interesting channels. We love it !

Iran's company Morratab has been making versions of the Land Rover Series since the 1960's I think. They basically took over Santana "Series IV" tooling with differently sourced engines. There was some other state companies doing knock off versions of Defenders too, I think.

    • @Thebluelandy
      @Thebluelandy  Рік тому

Yeah that’s right as far as I know are the axles also sourced in Iran. Was interesting to see how they added to the ideas interior and and suspension

Yeah, true... Most of Land Rovers in Iran were sent from Santana factory in Spain to Iran in CKD versions... they were SeriesIIA, III, IIIA and IV... engines were usually from Nissan, installed in Iran and sometimes they used bigger engines from Mitsubishi and Hyundai... About the people there, is always see people you never met before sharing same hobbies and been so kind they share all what they have with foreigners like us... Love it!
