Can you please show me how to trace a particle which has a predefined position (x,y,z) in a vector field. And I want use a certain vector field (.csv file) in Paraview. I am looking forward to your reply.
Hi, I am trying to apply this tutorial to particles which I have position and variables like velocity, but I cannot apply the streamlines filter since it is unavailable. Might I apply another filter before or something like this? Thank you very much
Unfortunately, since we don't use particles, we don't have an answer for you. We'd recommend to check out CFD Online (www.cfd-online.com/). Hopefully, you can find some additional help there.
Hi Luis, the first thing to check is whether you have a vector field available in upper menu panel, which represents the velocity of the flow. In the pipeline browser, make sure that you select the right source. The stream tracer will then be enabled. Greetings, Roxane.
Hi Reda, I'm not sure what you mean with the alpha.water data. Could you maybe elaborate on this? To create streamlines, you need a vector field (in our case the velocity field U). Once they are created, you can color them using any scalar field you have available. Greetings, Roxy.
Hi reda atmani, I think you can use the "calculator" utilitary and multiply your vector field and the alpha.water within paraview. Then you can aply the streamliner and get the stream for water phase.

Thank you for your guidance.
Thanks a lot!
Very, very nice, thank you!
Once you have the design, how to proceed to manufacture on aluminum? Thanks

Is it possible to uses tensors(hyper streamlines) in paraview?
Can you show, how to create surface streamlines on a slice ?

Good one!
Hi Diabatix. With my results, the option of 'stream tracer' is disabled. I charged one document .vtk and .vtu. You can help me?

thank you for these informations , how can we creat a streamline based on alpha.water data ?

nice it's work ,thnks
hello mam, in my paraview stramlines are not visible. could you please suggest any visibility option

@@Diabatix thank you.
What is your initial data? Is it a .vtk data?
It does not really matter. It can be data in vtk format or OpenFOAM case data.
You are a deadly combination Beauty and Brain
How do you leave the solid object in the visualization together with the streamlines?
Change the opacity of the solid object.
Can you plot stream lines from my Heart to yours? I fall in love with you😄
