Really well done and informative! Interesting time in tech out there from my vantage point back here on the east coast. The genuine delivery of your content is always solid. And about to jump on a plane where I will be watching the film on the flight!😊 peace Raymond!

I spent 4+ years as a Google contractor...learned more about interdependencies and diplomacy than technology

I really like your comment about how people attempt to use identity instead of purpose as a driving factor. Surely they cant be interchanged, you cant find satisfaction in what you are if you are not satisfied with what you do. Purpose should be a more significant part of the discourse in career building.

I'm sorry for saying but I am enamored by your life. I realize you desire a young lady to share life with(which will come) while in contrast I'm enjoying my being single...sir your living life seemingly on your terms, doing what you need to do to survive, showcasing "the real“ regarding life🤔 is somehow therapeutic & motivating.

Friday was my last day and Google, and I completely echo your feelings towards it. I would much rather spend my time trying to do something that makes me happy, rather than slogging for 40 hours just for the brand name.

So the grass is greener on the other side? I'm definitely one of those people who thinks getting a job at Google is the dream. It's probably just the job title people fathom over than the actual job itself and the wrong reason to want it in the first place.

Hey I’ve always wanted to work from home (Remote Work) what do you think I should study or do to help make that come true? At first I was considering getting some IT Certs but not sure which were best. Obviously I am interested in remote work so I don’t want a job where I have to go work on servers in a data center.
I have work experience is sales, customer service, and management. I grew up broke so I became good at fixing everything from cars to computers. You said you do UX Design, right? Any advice or if you could point me in the right direction would be great.
    Thanks!

Huh. Interesting. Good thing you almost never had to see your coworkers and when you did, they were helpful. Government work is different. No-one is helpful because they all fight for the next promotion and there are only so many promotions to go around. I was a tax auditor for the State and it sucked. Don't know what I'm gonna do next. Maybe Costco. It seems like a good company.

I'm an Android developer, and I can say that Google is a mess, chaotic year long of new features, mostly useless. Their yearly I/O almost has no value because of their constant updates before it.

You talk about a personal brand - you should work on becoming a warm, bright, uplifting, cheerful and upbeat personality. Then you might attract friends and romantic partners and become happy.
