This is exciting skating. Just look past the fall for a minute (and by the way the fall on the triple loop was one of the prettiest falls I've ever seen on this jump.) But the point is there is so much tension in her skating. I'm not a die-hard Ashley Wagner fan, but whatever she's selling I'm buying. She had me hooked from the beginning. There's something about the way she moves. There should never be a reason for her to miss a triple lutz! EVER! The one at the end of the program was great. I can't wait to see her this season. Clearly the jumps don't really give her a problem. She should be tough to beat.

Ashley is the only professional skater I've seen who spins and jumps the same way I do :) she's been a massive inspiration to me when I'm down and feeling defeated because I'm not getting something like my sit spins which I've been working on for the last 2 months and I still can't get it...

If the bond music is for her short I'm excited for it! I think she'll bring a titanic amount of personality and "sell" to that type of a program!

+wackybrinyc29 I agree with you, the Bond music suits her! But I don't think that's her music, she'll be skating to the music after the Bond one for her SP this season. :)

I think the girl @0:40 and @2:00 by the rinkside on the left is Caroline Zhang as she was talking to Peter Oppegard.

She looks in great shape! :-)))
But why is she going back to 3F-3T instead of 3Lz-3T as the opening combination???
And i think she should keep the spread eagle into the second triple loop...much more beautiful entry.
    Good luck for this season!

+Marco Silva Her lutz was... iffy last season. They probably decided it wasn't worth it.

Yes, but I think the worst she got on her triple lutz last year was "not a clear edge". She never got "wrong edge"...

Marco Silva Maybe she figured that with that with a 3f3t, she might end up getting more points after factoring in the points she'd get from the higher grade of execution. I figure it's just a numbers game at this point. The lutz was doing her no favors internationally.

Do you only really get the rink to yourself when you perform? It seems so frustrating trying to avoid people.

2:26 and 4:56. The white shirt guy was Nathan Chen!

OMG they have to train with other people blocking the ice and skating into their path like idiots :/? stressful.

Marjolein if people know you are practicing your program they HAVE to get out of the way--it's one of the rules you don't want to break, figure skaters totally hold grudges if you get in their way on the ice. I learned that the hard way!
