I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your videos. I too am trying to learn how to transcribe and I have no music theory knowledge whatsoever. But your videos are helping me understand things better, especially the Deftones videos. Keep up the awesome work my friend 😎. Would love some more Deftones and see you have a go with some Starset, I love that band also 😊

      Thanks!
I am, by no stretch of the imagination, an expert in notation and how to correctly transcribe but I have used some of Levi Clays advice and if your into transcribing check out his channel and Patreon.
I'll check out Starset and see if they have any songs that I like.
And I will hopefully have another Deftones done today or tomorrow... Stephens videos are really great since you get a pretty good visual on what he plays.

I’ve actually watched a few of his videos. He’s the reason why I purchased Guitar Pro 8 lol. Still learning how to use the software but it’s been helpful for sure. Plus your videos also, so you have to give yourself a little bit of credit lol. Starset is heavy like the Deftones so you might like a good amount of their stuff.

Yeah, if I had Guitar Pro when I started playing guitar it would have helped me a lot. It is a great tool to learn with and write songs - at least for me who only play on my own now a days.
I think i'm alright at transcribing but Levi and other people are notating it more "correct" so to speak, I am pretty lazy with accents and miss some of the finer points (and probably could notate a bit clearer) but it is just a hobby and it gets better every day you practice.
