Jeff Turner is a brilliantly talented designer and printer. Little did he know that those skills would help feed a drug addiction by printing some of the most realistic counterfeit bills that the Secret Service has ever seen. He has been described as the Picasso of counterfeit money. Jeff joins the show to detail how he taught himself the art of printing fake money, the rise of his scam, and the moment he was caught by the federal government and sent to prison. His work was so legendary that the Feds praised him for his sophistication and even had him film tutorials for them on his process. Today he is running a legitimate printing business, sober and being a positive influence for his kids!

❌️ Love your show ❤️ keep it real 💯
I love the guests keep it up
Johnny Mitchell will you please just stop with the questions and let these people tell their stories. You've screwed up so many interviews by not letting people talk, instead you make it confusing by bouncing the story all over the place. You're getting good guests and seem to have a knack for that now let the people tell their stories in a linear fashion. Please man, this is becoming insufferable.
One of the first to say, Hey THIS IS THE WEEK YOU GET TO A MILLION SUBSCRIBERS ::!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't listen to people that say "like" every second word...its fucking retarded
I put my sunglasses on then restarted this... 😎
Because you were already wearing your chain?
He just had eye surgery
🎶 I wear my sunglasses at night so I can, so i can watch you weave then you breathe your story lines" - Corey Hart😅
Goes outside, sunglasses off
For a future so bright you gotta wear shades.
Everyone on this show was found guilty of crimes that the government has been committing forever. Great story, great podcast! A true artist
I was going to say the same thing before I read your comment.. the federal reserve prints federal reserve notes out of thin air, and anyone paying taxes pays them for it, and this guy goes to jail ….
It's cool when they do it but a problem when I do it 🤔🥴
Dude is a G, it just shows what kind of determination an addict will go through for the prize.
Addicts are some of the MOST resourceful & inventive people, by necessity. It’s just about directing that type of ingenuity towards something positive after getting clean & off drugs.
This is the best interview yet, the dude seems completely truthful which isn't always the case.
When he said your gonna need to get back to this…. The dudes laugh says it all 😂
Whats the timestamp for this?
42:07
Sun is extremely bright in that room
The dummy dust must’ve been cut wrong 😑 😂
Born in Sunrise. Got homesick.
:-/
I guess he doesn't was people at the checkout having a double take between his face and the fake money he just gave them. He's probably banging out those new $100s he's perfected. Him and the local vicar with a pile of spare old bibles.
I love this podcast. I wasent sure at first but the consistency of real ones and the good interviewing won me over. I watch these beginning to end now anytime new video comes out!
Real ones? Good interviews?? Gosh, the general masses of people have a low bar for being impressed and captured.
I love your interviews but sometimes your questions are too premature and ends up cutting off the guest. Please bro can you try to let the guest talk🙏🏽
Probably my fav episode so far, I’m glad I caught on to the pcast
This guy was good. Smart and answered questions straight up
I’m genuinely curious, I see this similar or same type comment on a lot of prison ex con channels calling the guests and/or the interview smart, genius - all while knowing these guys all got caught, again both the host and guest. So are you masses that retahhded, low frequency and have very low bar expectations and even a guy that got caught is smart to you? So what’s the same level of guy that didn’t get caught? What would or do you commentors call those people??? Those people are clearly a minimum of one(1) notch above every single last one of these guests and hosts by simple clean records alone. I personally give them a minimum of 2 notches because their game was better and acting game to avoid authorities.
I’m genuinely baffled how you people all call these guys smart?!? They got caught!!
@@hoopslaa5235everything has a end just like how Elon musk and bill gates will be buried and eaten by woms like me and you. No matter how smart.
@@hoopslaa5235 I agree with you mostly. they all didnt know how to huslte AND STACK IT UP. and get out. Just like at the casino, if you know when to leave. This dude wouldn't have gotten caught. work smart, have a regular job as well, could even clean partially the money at the correct day job. Save up until you can start a legit business and get out. Little car wash here, little laundry mat over there AND LIVE HUMBLE
Can't wait to watch this. I LOVE learning about the processes people use to counterfeit money and how they got into it. It's not exactly the standard plan, for most people. I used to work soft count in a casino and we'd see some REALLY interesting ways people tried to counterfeit/create fortune from nothing. Raised printing (obvious from the back), bills that said "for video production use only" on the back (but the front looked super legit!), inkjet printed values onto paper, inkjet printed values onto $1 bills, and even saw a $20 bill that was printed onto a $5 bill. That last one made no sense, until you realize a quick check of the presence of a security strip would pass.
I used to know a guy who planned to counterfeit, and then use that money to buy dealer level quantities from drug dealers. It sounded like a decent plan (I mean, you're still robbing random people/businesses when you pass counterfeit banknotes), until they said "We're gonna quietly rob drug dealers with this!" and then I stayed waaaay away from them, because that sounds like a TERRIBLE thing to do. You can't call the cops if you got your ass beat for trying to screw over someone else who is committing a crime. Especially when you realize forgery has no statute of limitations, in most/all states, and will most likely attract the Eye of the Feds.
I’ve had a regular friend give me a stack of blue notes once. A grand. And they felt good. Looked decent in a quick count. But the 2 problems were when you had them in a stack of real ones the. You were able to fairly quickly realize some subtle differences of color and or size of font and lastly the presidents face see thru feature was not there and in place was actually China letter characters! Like wtf! The see thru out bill up to a light test failed miserably! He could never have used those in a store, maybe a dark nightclub at night or late night drug deals but any store with regular fluorescent lighting it was a fail.
Anyone else put on their extremely dark sunglasses while watching this video? 🤣
No I'm taking a shit and smoking a 🚬
No I just did my Coke and felt I was on the same ✈ plane anyways
Mind blowing. Huge respect for turning your life around. Awesome interview Mr Mitchell.
I like this type THANKS BRO FOR THE SHOW AND FOR HAVING REAL PEOPLE COME THRU
Where have you seen bots and mannequins??
His future is so bright he's gotta wear shades...
The coke is so cut with shit the eyes are soo glassy!
More of these, i love the scammer / con artist stories!
I’m always amazed how many people are sooo easily impressed. You know who and what stories you people will never get? The guys that got away 😉 those are the real Gs and true genius’s and the like blow these guys lives stories away 🫣👁😉
Great episode, this guy is a good communicator.
Killing it with the 🔥 questions
when you were putting the sun glasses on, were you afraid you might look TOO cool?
It's to not scare your gay ass with he's real man look and you don't piss you panties
You think their egos and Narr isn’t above that?! I think it’s the bad coke, cut with some shitty shit and got the glass eye. 👁
Once again great cast thanks again johnny
Hahahha😂
I always say "he's a professional comedian and story teller"
thanks, this was great, Jeff is fascinating and brilliant
Thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! I ALWAYS look for the “ha-ha” moments in these stories (have a few, myself)😊
Oh what, this is insane! Subscribed!
I’m watching this with my shades on…..
😂😂😂
Me 2
But did you get caught, do time, have a major ego problem and do coke too before putting the sunglasses on though??
Sign waver selling drugs? It's Badger!!!! LMFAO
Sign maker. Very different
I watched a hand full of Jeff’s different podcast interviews and I like how candid he is in this one.
Yeah he doesn’t dive into the technical side as much as the Koncrete but he definitely leaves different bits and pieces through each different interview.
Like one he mentioned he used exact change as well as asking the cashier if they could take $100. Then them counting out the coin part would distract them from solely focusing on examining the bill. Just give it a quick test and get on to counting the coins to make sure it’s right.
The Koncrete one gives a solid foundation but you start to learn more tricks of his former trade by watching other podcasts like this one.
Thanks for watching!
Johnny sounds like he wants to do this tomorrow! 😂
Johnny sounds like he did this yesterday!
This guys not bullshitting! It was crazy. From north to south Florida! So blessed god got me out of that life! And he was not joking about them pharmacies! I knew people driving down with clean UAs in condoms on the on the dash defroster to stay warm! Before they came out with all the synthetic. Dark days they were! grateful god stepped in! Got harder before better but blessed to have today and sobriety! O the stories. Crazy how we all relate just wish we all had that will to get out. God bless!
Great episode!
Another awesome guest
I love how he was like saying the exact name of the shade of eye shadow to use 😂 like don’t do this but if you are going to this is what it’s called 😂
Like???😢 fail
. Big shout out to Jeff, a true artist :)
Johnny should interview Frank Abagnale.Jr. Also one of the best OG counter fitters turned straight and made it out of prison alive. He’s 75 years old rn
I think he played Leonardo DiCaprio in a movie once
@@quintonprice3157 do you mean Leonardo DiCaprio played him in a movie?.
And yes the movie is called catch me if you can
Abagnale made up the stories, all lies
He's also a proven lier and won't debate or attend any conference with people that call him on his bs😂
@@wadewalton9612 oh well I didn’t know allat lmao 😂
Johnny you got us hooked
Love it, keep it up.
He looks like the gu6 from storage wars
I live just outside of knoxville. Cool to hear this guys story.
this was a great episode
I worked at a printing company when I was in school and we did everything from vinyl/polystyrene/book binding/cardboard/etc.
i’m glad I was too dumb/naive/chickenshit to every try to counterfeit.
I did print up one of those dumb Scarface posters where Al Pacino is the face of the $100 bill though 🤦♂️🤦♂️
A movie about his life would be awesome
All of these stories could be movies
It's crazy cuz the same exact story happened over here and I'm all the way in Boston ..those oxy',s really ruined a lot of peoples lifes
You missed the point
Thanks for this podcast Johnny sending a shout out from Santa Cruz California
Plus I had to my glasses on to I went like 5 minutes like ok this is how we doing things today lol grabbed my locs and was damn can't be the odd man out of this 😂😂😂😂
Butt did you have such shitty come your eyes were glassy!?! Haha @@Snoopy831SC Also what’s that flag of again? Country?
OMG When it fully starts and Johnny Mitchell is wearing sun glasses with a chain.... He looks funny as hell!!!
I had heard probably 30 years ago they would spray final net hairspray to defeat the pen
That works but it dries with a gloss finish… I used MATTE lacquer so it dries with a flat matte finish. Much better!
Congrats on the 1M
I love how the little guy can work his ass off and be screwed by the goverment yet a criminal can print millions and then get 10-18 months and get book deals and maybe a movie deal. No wonder allot of people are turning to crime as it is no longer do the crime do the time it's do the crime make lots of money and be looked at as a hero.
I wonder how many dudes out there are still doing this to this day but better, making them that pass the banks and ATMS also, Prob way more "fake" money out there than we think there is.
Johnny has the best way to meet new connects. Only problem is half of them are being watched 😅
Best Crime pod on youtube
I feel Cox is smarter and more educated or life experienced but they both got caught, both have huge inflated egos for that same basic fact they are ex cons and got caught. But they are better than all the meathead redneck tough guy acts that’s for sure. 😉😉
You actually made it almost impossible to counterfeit now
....in the U.S. but not overseas in latin american strip clubs!
This guy smart as hell
Best interview yet. You got a regular guy from the low end of Kentucky who just wanted to eat day to day. Didn’t blow up an has to fabricate the story. Didn’t sell out. Just a regular mf login in the system trynna get high an eat. Damn I loved this one
good show man
South jersey resident here, many of my old head friends who are now dead would get 120 30s and 90 bars in 2010, once 2014 came around all those pill mills were basically gone, 30s used to be 10-15 a pc and flip for 25, it’s crazy how it used to be
Was a dollar a mg in 2010 in my area, east coast. Craziest prices were in Ocean City MD. Used to get buns in the city for 40/pc (13 bags) and drive them down to OC and sell them for $250 a piece. Insane. -- allegedly .
@stevebanning902 it was always a dollar an mg where I live, in massachusetts
Single handedly brought heroin back with a rage and now fentanyl.
By answerig phone u prove that number is YOURS. U shoulda changed ur # soon as he got arrested.. PERIOD. Any dealer does that when a buyer gets arrested ...TIME TO SWITCH PHONES.. cause old texts and calls are a mfker.
Should of left the phone and taken off immediately
Not completely true unless you verify yourself when answering which is obviously dumb to do. Can easily say you just bought this phone off someone from offerup therefore you are not the person they are calling about. Works with creditors who call non stop. Just don't ever say, 'yes this is xxxxx' immediately say no this isn't whoever and please stop calling for them since they no longer own this phone. Just a tip. For drug dealing you always want to use burners and switch them often though.
HURRAY! Another episode of The Connect! One of my favourite podcasts!
Only question I am left with is which printer was Jeff using and hauling around? We talking an Epson Ecotank or like traditional cartridge inkjet printer? HP, Canon? 🤔 Awesome Ep as always! 1:44:32
Take off the sunglasses let's see those pupils😂😂
The glasses say more than the pupils at this point
That still ain’t bad 80 dollars a hour vs 15 a hour busting your ass and barely making it at the end of week.
I was told you can use degreeser hand soap that machanics use to wash a 5 dollar bill and use that as the paper to make 100s and it would have the strip and past the marker test.
It’s called Purple Power I use it to wash my dirt bikes I tried it once tryna change a $1 into a $100 but you gotta use the older $100 bills without the strip if ur tryna make a $1 into $100 but I just tried it to try it it was very shitty quality but purple power does completely take all the ink off a bill
Certain years of certain denoms don't have the most prominent security features, so you'd need to use that as a template to "print" onto a washed $1 bill. There's still certain things to look for, if you handle a LOT of money. (I say "print" because an inkjet printer won't make the correct colors, and laser printers made after a certain year are designed to not allow printing of banknotes.) All the counterfeit pen is checking for is the presence of starch in the material. If there's no starch, you get a light yellow and if there is it comes out black.
I used to work soft count at a casino. We got a 1929 $50 note that marked as counterfeit. (And our banknote processor kept rejecting it.) As someone who handled millions of dollars in cash a day, it felt weird but the raised printing on the collar is what told us it was either real or a crazy good counterfeit. (We did have somebody try to fake raised printing once, but it was obvious when you looked at the back of the bill.) And then we noticed the date and realized it was genuine. How? Because the counterfeit pen said, on the instructions, not to use it on pre-1940s bills because it would fail.
One new years eve, there were 4 known counterfeiters on the casino floor playing blackjack, and I found 3 really shitty fake bills and one REALLY good one. The ONLY thing wrong with the really good one, visually, was some of the printing was slightly hazy....almost bold font. It looked like the counterfeiter printed it twice and it was offset very slightly one time. Surveillance had been watching them all night, so between the two groups of us, they were able to determine who produced what and when they passed them.
Purple power degreaser or oven cleaner then use food grade peroxide for the final ink removal. But then the strip is wrong (also wrong position and wrong uv color) and the watermark is also wrong.
@@KodakWhite5904also purple power definitely tints it
@@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 true but that’s why it only works for the older bills that don’t have the strip or water marks in it I forgot what era of bills they are that don’t have all those but it’s still very hard to pull off
And today legitimate patients struggle to find a doctor willing to write a prescription out of fear of the DEA knocking on their door.
Try Kratom- also a lot of India companies will ship trams or tapentadol
@@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 both options you mentioned are effective for people on lower doses, and I would highly recommend kratom for those it works for just to avoid all the BS, but after decades of gradual increases to try to counter natural tolerance increases you can easily be on 3x the DEA's "recommended maximum daily dose" and not even get relief from a headache. And that's another problem people face. The recommend maximum dose isn't really recommend, meaning if your doctor exceeds it for any reason he will receive extra attention. The thing is that dose is based on a study, funded by the DEA, that used 6 (it may have 8, its been a white since I read it) people who were not, and had never been prescribed for any extended period of time, extended being more than 30 days. They came to the conclusion that patients would see no additional pain relief from taking more than 100mme a day and therefore prescribing any more than that will do nothing but increase chances of OD. I'm sure this is true for anyone who hasn't been on the medication for a prolonged period of time but increased tolerate is a very well known thing so it's dishonest to suggest it also applies to patients suffering from chronic pain, then implement guidelines that enforce it while disregarding the doctors input.
Oh, if you don't know mme is a measurement created by the FDA that attempts to create a base strength to compare different opioids. So while 1mg of oxycodone might equal 1mme, 1mg of oxymorphone equals 3mme suggesting that its approximately 3x stronger than the other.
Still waiting to hear how he cut the prints
Paper cutter, assuming.

I knew a guy who used to do this with twenty dollar bills back in the day like fifteen years ago. Just did it a couple times. He didn't really think it would work. He never passed any because that was just too high risk for him. But they did work when other fools could be convinced to crack em.
When you get too greedy and don't know when to stop and step away, that's when you get caught

Really makes you wonder how many individuals never get greedy and are still printing unrecognizable bills to this day. Just to have an extra couple grand every week.
