- Walk-around and general overview of my dentside ford. I tried to commentate as i filmed but the wind and traffic was too loud so I ended up doing a voiceover. First time using my own voice in a video. Hope y'all enjoy.
CORRECTION: MADE AN ERROR ON THE DESCRIPTION OF THE BED.
On 2WD models 1973 is when the tank moved to under the bed. On F250 4WD mid-year 1977.
The Feds mandated no more in-cab tanks in '77.
CORRECTION: MADE AN ERROR ON THE DESCRIPTION OF THE BED.
Incab fuel tank was standard on 73-77 F-250 4x4 (highboys), 1973-1977 F-250 Crewcabs and F-350 Crew Cabs and chassis cabs. It was optional on The F-100 and F-150 until incab fuel tanks were outlawed by the FMVSS in January 1977.
1973-1976 Beds had exposed fuel caps.
1977-1979 Beds have fuel doors.
Beautiful truck. Love the set up. Sounds great 👌🏾😎👍🏾👍🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤
Just answered quite a few questions i was curious about, awesome truck
Love this truck 👍
Hopefully you keep the updates going, so many people just stop.
Thanks! The plan is to keep it going with updates. Got a rearend to rebuild/upgrade for it and maybe some drive-along vids.

I'm liking that unit. Cool build.
What a badass truck you have there!
These trucks are so much fun with a turbo.
AWESOME WORK MAN!
Very nice 👍
legendary
Nice job breda!
Sounds good. Cool truck .you should put ecobeast badging on it.👍🇺🇸
May be a possibility! Lol
Tool box on side 👍 75 d200 I have has one want to put matching one on drivers side
Love this truck. Have a 78 identical with 400 wanna do the same thing. I need to contact you. I have everything except turbo
Truck sounds good man. How well does the intercooler work where you have it? I built a turbo kit for my wife’s 85 f150 351w but it’s not intercooled at the moment since I had no room between the condenser and grille. Ac is ice cold so removing it isn’t an option lol
Intercooler works very well. I very rarely see my air intake temps above 80 and 95 on hot summer day.. I can look up the size for you if interested.
Itll get above hundred when i shut it down and drops quickly once i start moving again.
Should've put her on the 2step for a second but awesome truck
Awesome, whats the pn on that cam
Comp cams - 35-601-8
@@dentsidemechanic1238 thanks dude!
Any advantages or disadvantages to having the turbo front and center like that
There may be other advantages but my goal was to have both engine banks produce equal exhaust pressure. Both sides of the engine have equal length runners before merging at the turbo. In theory it should help with equalizing exhaust pulses and reducing turbulence which maximizes exhaust flow. IN THEORY. Many guys run unequal runners and get fantastic results.
Disadvantages (at least for me): turbo and piping ended up real close to my radiator and radiator hoses causing a slight cooling issue. (Doesnt overheat just runs warmer than i like (205-210 at idle)
It also limited my options to where i could run my down pipe.
How does the turbo do with the tight lobe separation? Does it build boost well and hold it? Have you had it dynoed?
It did not work very well. Boost wouldn't start to build till around 3800-4000rpm and didnt hold either. Ended up switching to an f303+ cam (summit brand), also reduced my hotside from 3" to 2.25". Fixed both issues.
@dentsidemechanic1238 I have a F cam laying around and I'm building a 351w turbo mustang. When does the F cam run out of steam on your build?
I know you had to grind the headers to fit but what kind of headers are they?
Theyre kinda universal. Heres the part name from summit..... Flowtech SBF Turbo Headers 12164FLT
Part number via summit : BIG-12164FLT
Theyre flipped upside down and i had to do a lot of grinding to the flanges to make clearance for the spark plugs
Is this truck street legal
Yes
What oil pan are you running?
Stocks 351w truck pan
this sounds like a 6.9 idi lol
You got one hell of a truck there bud!!
Everything looks good but that fender dump looks terrible at least run it under the cab
Had it just dumped and not coming out underneath the fender but the drone was horrible. Popping out like that made a hell of difference. Had thoughts about running it out to in front of rear tire but running 4 inch pipe all the way outback is a little tricky and expensive.
@@dentsidemechanic1238 I vote hood exit
Shoulda been a Chevy : (. Haha !!
