@@skellez83 Np. Be sure to know all the tuning slides your horn brings. Depending on which tuning slides you have will determine which method of tuning to follow. Still very helpful information.

Hello Muhamad, I hope you are still holding on to playing a horn, just begin with one single note and try to make it sound perfect. Next, up and down will get in place, than repeat the same with a new notes, and so on. You will build the beautiful horn sound. Good luck!
In a way, true but we still prefer to call this instrument a French Horn. The original one is not a transposing instrument and it uses crooks, this is German design of the similar instrument but it is played around the globe for more than a century. "The Horn" is often used by other brass players playing on cylindrical bore instruments while prefix "french" distinguish" the conical bore instrument in tone, design and embouchure setting.
thanks Sarah! greetings from Chile

Get a tuner app for your phone e.g. Tonal Energy. Set it to "French Horn" then you can see what note your are playing.
How’s everything going now?!
please teach me
What your mouthpiece
don't use your shoulders when you breathe
You are so right. But she has a perfect embouchure and can correct this little glitch with practicing, to "smell the roses" and belly control.
Sarah, I prefer the term 'horn' instead of 'French horn' for our instrument, since it is not a French horn.
