"Schools Out" has always been my favorite album design. I remember how cool it was to fold out the legs on the bottom and open the top of the desk to reveal the lace panties album sleeve. And then to follow it up with the design of "Billion Dollar Babies", with the large billfold that opened up and had a large bill inside. Back to back great album designs that must have eaten into some profit.
And before that, the calendar from "Killer", and then the "Muscle Of Love" album coming in a huge cardboard carton. And the best one in my opinion, "From the Inside" opening from the middle and the doors and the alignment with the sleeve.
No doubt about it, Alice Cooper has the most creative album designs ever
Yes, it is a great design. I've still got my copy from back in the day. It might be worth some $ if I still had the panty's. Those things would have disintegrated a long time ago, though. Killer wuz cool. Part of the gatefold could be separated that revealed a calendar of 71' or 72' covering the bottom 25%. of it. The rest of the top was a darkish red photo of Alice hanging by a rope! Too cool. What else does a 16 yr. old need (besides a Playboy Bunny) to keep him happy?
My favorite Alice Cooper albums are Love It to Death, School's Out, and Billion Dollar Babies. And I remember when I first bought them when they were first released.

I have 'Killer' and a 'Best Of Alice Cooper' and I also have Johnny Depp's Album 'Hollywood Vampires' which Cooper sings on. I will get more Alice Cooper eventually. Especially 'School's Out' and 'Welcome To My Nightmare'. I do have 'Welcome to...' on DVD which also has The Nightmare 1975 TV Special with special guest Vincent Price. But 'Killer' was the main album we had in the household when I was a kid and I played it a lot. Especially 'Halo Of Flies', I played that one way more than the rest!

Larry, if you don't know, Rhino have just released a quadraphonic blu-ray of Alice's "Billion Dollar Babies" as well as Sabbath's "Paranoid" and Jefferson Starship's "Red Octopus". Pretty cheap and great reviews, though I don't know if you have a surround system yet.

Alice Cooper and band were certainly talented and made some good music Larry but as a fourteen year old kid they were just to weird for me to get into although I did see Alice hang himself on New Years Eve at Maple Leaf Gardens,people were walking around with Alice Cooper makeup on and everything,pretty weird stuff! Bob
I prefer the background noise. It's surprisingly better for us ASMR viewers.
I guess CD is the way to go considering the albums are like $80 a piece.

Both great Alice Cooper albums. And yes I prefer his “band” era 1969-1974. I also do like parts of “Welcome To My Nightmare” and “From The Inside”

I much prefer the band to Alice solo as well. Killer might be one of those perfect albums. Love It To Death is still my favorite though. 🤘
I just picked up Live From Astroturf, but haven’t listened to it yet. I’m saving it for a really bad day at work.
Killer is a great record which I bought when it came out. I wasn't all that impressed with anything he did after that.
