I am thinking about getting this mattress. I have bought mattresses in the past that claim to be firm but aren't or lose their firmness over time. I am hoping it will be the right fit for me and my husband.
I prefer plank. ( original. I guess they want to call it plank firm ) it has zero jiggle. The plank lux hybrib has minimal jiggle. I thought the lux would last longer as i weigh about 230 lbs. Im super picky - gonna buy the original all foam plank again,hopefully next week.great mattress.
Not sure why someone would say this is not a firm bed. I am 6' 235 and it doesn't sink at all, zero. You actually sleep on top of the mattress. On the firmer side there is only 2.75 inches of foam with 2inches being high density. The coils are a 13.5 gauge, among the thickest used in beds today. So I am not sure where the sink comes in as there is nothing really to sink. It is closest to an old fashioned firm mattress as they come. On the less firm, firm side there is 4.5 inches total of high density foam, not much room to sink there either and the coils go edge to edge unlike other beds that use a support foam around the coils that actually do sink.
I've had the plank hybrid for 3yrs now.I dressed it upput a 4in foam medium mattress on the firmer side 3in foam topper with a alternative goose mattress pad to cover it all,,feels like heaven.
Dont buy this thing. its not as firm as they say it is. Its going to sink in. I recommend a beauty rest pressure smart 2.0. try it at the store. its as firm and solid as the floor. You need a mattress with no pillow top if you want it like a stone.
Hi. I'm writing to get an update on your comments on the Beautyrest Pressuresmart 2.0. I ask because my Plank Luxe is sagging for me as well. I ask also because upon checking out the pressuresmart 2.0, it seems to have several foam layers on top of the coils raising the concern that this mattress might sag as well. Did that happen in your situation? Any comments from you would be much appreciated.

How long did the luxe last you? I heard hybrids last longer and stay cooler, but I rly want to get whichever will not sink

It’s perfect but why no handles????
The less firm side throws alot of heat. Which wakes me up.
