I got introduced to Blackout's work through this album. I was 9 at the time, I'm 20 now. Crazy to hear it with such quality. Both Load My Clip and Death Row were part of my childhood.
It is. But also, when you realize the terrible murder shit is actually real and still happens, it does hit different. It’s kinda crazy how a city can be so bad for so long. People are murdered literally 2/3 or more of the days in a year. And murder ain’t even the worst of it. I’m a fan of the music, just saying. Both things can be true.
@@shayne.7770 When medicine man put the Lil Noid rip out, he put some Lo Key tracks there (this was like over 10 years ago, early 2000's). A fake version that's much lower quality has songs that are by lo key being passed off as lil noid songs on it. This original version is just the lil noid songs in their original high quality. You can look at discogs for more info.
He was just some memphis rapper from the 90s, around the time triple six mafia (dj paul and juicy j) was starting up. iirc they knew eachother and lil noid helped on a couple songs in the early early tapes.
Lil noid is a three 6 affiliate, who had a lot of his stuff produced by juicy j to my knowledge and even ended up on a few tracks of his most notably off his “vol 9mm” tape. Tracks like “break yoself” are quite well known in the underground scene and are always being sampled and remixed by modern artists like Ramirez and others. Fun fact as well the original or “part 1” of riding n da Chevy was lil noid and playafly on one of three 6 first tapes 👍 Edit: noid also introduced (I believe it was) la chat to juicy j
